Wikipedia and copyright edit

Hello Marcus Antony, and welcome to Wikipedia. All or some of your addition(s) to Little Lambkins have been removed, as it appears to have added copyrighted material without evidence of permission from the copyright holder. While we appreciate your contributing to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from your sources to avoid copyright or plagiarism issues here.

  • You can only copy/translate a small amount of a source, and you must mark what you take as a direct quotation with double quotation marks (") and cite the source using an inline citation. You can read about this at Wikipedia:Non-free content in the sections on "text". See also Help:Referencing for beginners, for how to cite sources here.
  • Aside from limited quotation, you must put all information in your own words and structure, in proper paraphrase. Following the source's words too closely can create copyright problems, so it is not permitted here; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. (There is a college-level introduction to paraphrase, with examples, hosted by the Online Writing Lab of Purdue.) Even when using your own words, you are still, however, asked to cite your sources to verify information and to demonstrate that the content is not original research.
  • Our primary policy on using copyrighted content is Wikipedia:Copyrights. You may also want to review Wikipedia:Copy-paste.
  • If you own the copyright to the source you want to copy or are a designated agent, you may be able to license that text so that we can publish it here. However, there are steps that must be taken to verify that license before you do. See Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
  • In very rare cases (that is, for sources that are public domain or compatibly licensed), it may be possible to include greater portions of a source text. However, please seek help at the help desk before adding such content to the article. 99.9% of sources may not be added in this way, so it is necessary to seek confirmation first. If you do confirm that a source is public domain or compatibly licensed, you will still need to provide full attribution; see Wikipedia:Plagiarism for the steps you need to follow.
  • Also note that Wikipedia articles may not be copied or translated without attribution. If you want to copy or translate from another Wikipedia project or article, you can, but please follow the steps in Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia.

It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices, as policy requires that people who persistently do not must be blocked from editing. If you have any questions about this, you are welcome to leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. CAPTAIN RAJU (✉) 21:20, 25 February 2017 (UTC)Reply

February 2017 edit

Your addition to Little Lambkins has been removed, as it appears to have added copyrighted material to Wikipedia without evidence of permission from the copyright holder. If you are the copyright holder, please read Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for more information on uploading your material to Wikipedia. For legal reasons, Wikipedia cannot accept copyrighted material, including text or images from print publications or from other websites, without an appropriate and verifiable license. All such contributions will be deleted. You may use external websites or publications as a source of information, but not as a source of content, such as sentences or images—you must write using your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing. CAPTAIN RAJU (✉) 21:21, 25 February 2017 (UTC)Reply

List of male supervillains edit

I have proposed this page for deletion because it is overly broad and the label goes against consensus at Wikipedia:WikiProject Comics. However, I am happy you are interested in improving Wikipedia's comic articles. I encourage you look around the comic project talk page, style manual, and clean up list. If you have any questions or need help, please let me know on my talk page or ping me using the reply template. Argento Surfer (talk) 13:21, 22 March 2017 (UTC)Reply

April 2017 edit

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. You appear to be repeatedly reverting or undoing other editors' contributions at Reboot (fiction). Although this may seem necessary to protect your preferred version of a page, on Wikipedia this is known as "edit warring" and is usually seen as obstructing the normal editing process, as it often creates animosity between editors. Instead of reverting, please discuss the situation with the editor(s) involved and try to reach a consensus on the talk page.

If editors continue to revert to their preferred version they are likely to be blocked from editing Wikipedia. This isn't done to punish an editor, but to prevent the disruption caused by edit warring. In particular, editors should be aware of the three-revert rule, which says that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Edit warring on Wikipedia is not acceptable in any amount, and violating the three-revert rule is very likely to lead to a block. Thank you. Grayfell (talk) 02:51, 22 April 2017 (UTC)Reply

Your recent edits edit

Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:

  1. Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment; or
  2. With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button (  or  ) located above the edit window.

This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 03:29, 22 April 2017 (UTC)Reply

Notice of Edit warring noticeboard discussion edit

Hello. This message is being sent to inform you that there is currently a discussion involving you at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Edit warring regarding a possible violation of Wikipedia's policy on edit warring. The thread is Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Edit warring#User:Marcus_Antony reported by User:Grayfell (Result: ). Thank you. Grayfell (talk) 04:23, 22 April 2017 (UTC)Reply

You have been blocked from editing for a period of 72 hours for edit warring, as you did at Reboot (fiction). Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may request an unblock by first reading the guide to appealing blocks, then adding the following text to the bottom of your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.

During a dispute, you should first try to discuss controversial changes and seek consensus. If that proves unsuccessful, you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection.  Lord Roem ~ (talk) 06:23, 22 April 2017 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Jim Kowalczyk edit

Hello, Marcus Antony. I wanted to let you know that I’m proposing an article that you started, Jim Kowalczyk, for deletion because it's a biography of a living person that lacks references. If you don't want Jim Kowalczyk to be deleted, please add a reference to the article.

If you don't understand this message, you can leave a note on my talk page.

Thanks,

Meatsgains (talk) 00:51, 27 October 2017 (UTC)Reply

You wrote on my talk page about Draft:Black Jaguar-White Tiger Foundation: "You need to put more information and complete the page of Black Jaguar White Tiger to improve, the page should not be deleted, but need to be improved." That is not correct. I did not create the page and am not responsible for it. You created the page in article space with no references and with two empty sections. I moved the page to draft space to permit you to complete it, because it was a candidate for speedy deletion as an article about an organization that does not make a credible claim of significance. Please do not create sub-stubs and expect that experienced editors will do the work for you. Robert McClenon (talk) 01:08, 14 December 2017 (UTC)Reply

December 2017 edit

Hello, I'm Flyer22 Reborn. I wanted to let you know that I reverted one of your recent contributions —the one you made with this edit to Black Jaguar-White Tiger Foundation— because it did not appear constructive. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. Flyer22 Reborn (talk) 03:59, 21 December 2017 (UTC)Reply

Please do not remove Articles for deletion notices from articles or remove other people's comments in Articles for deletion pages, as you did with this edit to Black Jaguar-White Tiger Foundation. Otherwise, it may be difficult to create consensus. If you oppose the deletion of an article, please comment at the respective page instead. Thank you. Jim1138 (talk) 04:08, 21 December 2017 (UTC)Reply

wp:AfD tags edit

Article for Deletion tags only inform a reader of the page that there is a discussion in process. Removing it won't disrupt or stop the discussion. If the page is not ready, you can ask that it be made into a wp:AfC draft. Cheers Jim1138 (talk) 04:09, 21 December 2017 (UTC)Reply

Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to remove Articles for deletion notices or comments from articles and Articles for deletion pages, as you did at Black Jaguar-White Tiger Foundation, you may be blocked from editing. Jim1138 (talk) 04:22, 21 December 2017 (UTC)Reply

Please realize that if you keep this up, you will probably be wp:blocked and you won't be able to edit Black Jaguar-White Tiger Foundation Jim1138 (talk) 04:22, 21 December 2017 (UTC)Reply

December 2017 edit

This account has been blocked indefinitely, as you have been persistent in removing Articles for Deletion template from Black Jaguar-White Tiger Foundation, which is not permitted as you are directly involved with the article. Persistent addition of unsourced content is also a violation of our policy. Finally, at no point you should be personally attacking another editor, as you did in Special:Diff/816409331. To appeal this block, please follow the instructions at Wikipedia:Guide to appealing blocks. Alex Shih (talk) 05:59, 21 December 2017 (UTC)Reply

Marcus, do you have reliable references that show the notability of the organization? Refusing to allow a deletion discussion without improving the article yourself and attacking other editors is not acceptable as you can see by this block. --NeilN talk to me 14:04, 21 December 2017 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Black Jaguar-White Tiger Foundation edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Black Jaguar-White Tiger Foundation, requesting that it be deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under two or more of the criteria for speedy deletion, by which pages can be deleted at any time, without discussion. If the page meets any of these strictly-defined criteria, then it may soon be deleted by an administrator. The reasons it has been tagged are:

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.
