Maintenance templates edit

Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but your recent edit removed maintenance templates from WTFPL. When removing maintenance templates, please be sure to either resolve the problem that the template refers to, or give a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, as your removal of this template has been reverted. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia, and if you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. -- intgr [talk] 07:30, 31 March 2016 (UTC)Reply

Hi, sorry for the bad edit, I wanted to split it in two, but screwed that up, sorry. But looking at WTFPL, it says "Please improve it by verifying the claims made and adding inline citations. Statements consisting only of original research should be removed. ". I didn't type the text below, but I see it contains 5-6 citations which is quite a bit for a paragraph, so that sure doesn't seem to qualify as original research considering everything it links to, that supports what's being written. Wouldn't you agree? Marcmerlinw (talk) 20:47, 4 April 2016 (UTC)Reply

Ok, I see your point. The reason why I (re)added that template was because none of the used citations mention WTFPL at all, so the claims that these sources and statements apply to WTFPL is original research/WP:synthesis as far as I can tell. -- intgr [talk] 07:06, 5 April 2016 (UTC)Reply
