Hi Marcinus PhD, here are some thoughts about your sandbox:

  • We generally avoid "external links" in the body of the article. External links typically go in a section at the very bottom of the page, under the references, called "External links". Looks like you have external links at Bass Zoological Lab and "NOTES ON THE BREEDING HABITS OF THE EASTERN STUMPKNOCKER, "LEPOMIS PUNCTATUS PUNCTATUS" (CUVIER)", and a few other places
    • Speaking of "NOTES", all caps is seen as "shouting", so it would be nice if you made this title case (don't forget to italicize the scientific name, Lepomis punctatus punctatus
  • There aren't references for many of the "awards"--the article would be better and more verifiable if you added some.
  • In general, all content on Wikipedia should be referenced. If consecutive sentences come from the same source, the citation can be added once at the end of the consecutive sentences rather than duplicated at the end of each sentence. In that vein, no paragraph should end without a citation, and no paragraphs should lack citations. I see several paragraphs that end without citations, which is a red flag. Where does this content come from? How will the reader know it's verifiable?

I think you're almost there! Once you're done adding citations and fixing a few formatting things, you'll be able to move this to the live article! Elysia (Wiki Ed) (talk) 20:26, 29 May 2020 (UTC)Reply
