Hello, you said "I have supplied a reliable reference for my edit - please explain if you disagree." It seems that you have referenced a discussion board on a fashion website when you made this edit. This not a reliable source by WP:SPS If the source were the magazine itself, Essence (magazine), I would still argue that the source is not scholarly and ought to be avoided. I have little doubt that the work you claim as your source is available to me with a quick trip across campus. If you revert the edit, I will check the work. Assuming I am correct, you will be blocked from editing. In the unlikely event you were able to get your hands on the text in question that just happened to cover the very fact you had sourced to a forum earlier in the same day, feel free to re-add the information.
