About your username... edit

Have you read the username policy? It's a bad idea to have a user name that ends in "Bot", because that's an indicator that an account is a software robot. It's probably a good idea if you change your username. —C.Fred (talk) 21:15, 7 August 2017 (UTC)Reply

Can't change username to Manuelly edit

New York metropolitan area edit

Hello. I just wanted to let you know that moving popular pages with long-established titles, like the article New York metropolitan area, is not usually good practice. As such, I have moved the page back to its former title and started a page-move discussion on the talk page.

Also, you could ask for page protection at the following page: Wikipedia:Requests for page protection. Adding a protection template doesn't do anything unless an administrator actually sees your request and, if there is a reason, applies protection. epicgenius (talk) 00:27, 8 August 2017 (UTC)Reply

Edit warring report edit

Please do not attempt to add reports to the edit warring noticeboard until you understand what edit warring and the WP:3RR rule are. You don't report people there because they made a "rude" comment to someone. At this point, you need to move on. You're making a bigger deal out of the comment than it is. only (talk) 12:36, 8 August 2017 (UTC)Reply

I agree with what only said. I'll go a step further and say that continuing to pester SMW about this one incident could start to look like harassment of them.
Frankly, it's a losing battle. I've seen people say far worth to other editors and maybe only get a minor warning or slapped with a trout. While we're supposed to all get along harmoniously, there's a point with the minor stuff where it's best just to shrug it off and keep going. If it's persistent or excessive, then that's something where an administrator will step in. (Personally, my line is when a person makes a comment about another person's gender, sexual preference, religion, or race—especially if it's a racial or sexual slur.) —C.Fred (talk) 14:23, 8 August 2017 (UTC)Reply
And I just realized that comment was from October 2016. only (talk) 14:35, 8 August 2017 (UTC)Reply

@Only, you're right. What should I do when someone says rude stuff, since Wikipedia is not for being obscene????Rob (talk) 00:04, 9 August 2017 (UTC)Reply

Articles for creation edit

Until you better understand Wikipedia, you should not be engaged in reviewing articles for creation. You've posted odd templates messages regarding articles to users but I don't think you understand the process. only (talk) 15:58, 9 August 2017 (UTC) Ok, Only. Understand. Your recent edits edit

Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:

  1. Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment; or
  2. With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button (  or  ) located above the edit window.

This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 19:51, 9 August 2017 (UTC)Reply

Question edit

You said "I am not new to Wikipedia". What account did you use before 3 days ago? Is it blocked? --Floquenbeam (talk) 21:55, 9 August 2017 (UTC)Reply

No, This is my only account. And I am auto-confirmed and I have made over 100 edits. I have also joined 14 days ago. Rob 23:31, 9 August 2017 (UTC)

Request for adminship edit

As has been pointed out to you, you have no chance of passing a request for adminship anytime in the next year or two. You do not have enough experience or compotence to be an administrator at this time. I highly suggest you place {{db-g7}} on the page to ask for deletion. Or tell me here you want it deleted and I'll do it. You need to step away from administrative aspects of Wikipedia for now and focus on editing and improving articles. only (talk) 01:51, 10 August 2017 (UTC)iReply

Bull in a china shop edit

Sorry, through some combination of trolling and incompetence, all you're doing is making lots of work for other people. I've blocked this account indefinitely. Template with unblock info will be added in a second. --Floquenbeam (talk) 18:04, 10 August 2017 (UTC)Reply

August 2017 edit

You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for persistently making disruptive edits. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may request an unblock by first reading the guide to appealing blocks, then adding the following text to the bottom of your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  Floquenbeam (talk) 18:05, 10 August 2017 (UTC)Reply

Block Appeal edit

This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy).

Manualy20 (block logactive blocksglobal blockscontribsdeleted contribsfilter logcreation logchange block settingsunblockcheckuser (log))

Request reason:

I will not do disruptive editing anymore. Please unblock me because I want to edit pages needing additional references. Also, I am VERY sorry to such distruptive editing. 2 = I will not edit articles. I'm just gonna read them

Decline reason:

I am declining your unblock request because it does not address the reason for your block, or because it is inadequate for other reasons. To be unblocked, you must convince the reviewing administrator(s) that

  • the block is not necessary to prevent damage or disruption to Wikipedia, or
  • the block is no longer necessary because you
    1. understand what you have been blocked for,
    2. will not continue to cause damage or disruption, and
    3. will make useful contributions instead.

Please read the guide to appealing blocks for more information. Alex ShihTalk 18:36, 10 August 2017 (UTC)Reply

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Reviewing admin may want to proactively remove talk page access; (1) they've been socking with an IP (User:174.44.65.34), and (2) they are clearly not competent to edit here; over 90% of their edits have had to be reviewed by others and reverted/removed/deleted. --Floquenbeam (talk) 18:16, 10 August 2017 (UTC)Reply

You do not need to be unblocked in order to read articles. --Floquenbeam (talk) 18:20, 10 August 2017 (UTC) But I strongly promise i'm not going to do distruptive editing inginitelyReply
