Hello Manoharg1, and welcome to Wikipedia. All or some of your addition(s) to Cabinet Committee on Accommodation have been removed, as it appears to have added copyrighted material without evidence of permission from the copyright holder. While we appreciate your contributing to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from your sources to avoid copyright or plagiarism issues here.

  • You can only copy/translate a small amount of a source, and you must mark what you take as a direct quotation with double quotation marks (") and cite the source using an inline citation. You can read about this at Wikipedia:Non-free content in the sections on "text". See also Help:Referencing for beginners, for how to cite sources here.
  • Aside from limited quotation, you must put all information in your own words and structure, in proper paraphrase. Following the source's words too closely can create copyright problems, so it is not permitted here; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. (There is a college-level introduction to paraphrase, with examples, hosted by the Online Writing Lab of Purdue.) Even when using your own words, you are still, however, asked to cite your sources to verify information and to demonstrate that the content is not original research.
  • Our primary policy on using copyrighted content is Wikipedia:Copyrights. You may also want to review Wikipedia:Copy-paste.
  • If you own the copyright to the source you want to copy or are a designated agent, you may be able to license that text so that we can publish it here. However, there are steps that must be taken to verify that license before you do. See Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
  • In very rare cases (that is, for sources that are public domain or compatibly licensed), it may be possible to include greater portions of a source text. However, please seek help at the help desk before adding such content to the article. 99.9% of sources may not be added in this way, so it is necessary to seek confirmation first. If you do confirm that a source is public domain or compatibly licensed, you will still need to provide full attribution; see Wikipedia:Plagiarism for the steps you need to follow.
  • Also note that Wikipedia articles may not be copied or translated without attribution. If you want to copy or translate from another Wikipedia project or article, you can, but please follow the steps in Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia.

It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices, as policy requires that people who persistently do not must be blocked from editing. If you have any questions about this, you are welcome to leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. — Diannaa 🍁 (talk) 03:04, 14 January 2017 (UTC)Reply

Your addition to Observer Research Foundation has been removed, as it appears to have added copyrighted material to Wikipedia without evidence of permission from the copyright holder. If you are the copyright holder, please read Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for more information on uploading your material to Wikipedia. For legal reasons, Wikipedia cannot accept copyrighted material, including text or images from print publications or from other websites, without an appropriate and verifiable license. All such contributions will be deleted. You may use external websites or publications as a source of information, but not as a source of content, such as sentences or images—you must write using your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing. — Diannaa 🍁 (talk) 18:05, 28 January 2017 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Ajay Chandra

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Ajay Chandra requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from http://www.unitechgroup.com/about-us/board-of-directors.asp. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website or image but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. You have been blocked from editing for violating copyright policy by copying text or images into Wikipedia from another source without evidence of permission. You have been previously warned that this is against policy, but have persisted, as you did at Chit fund. Please take this opportunity to ensure that you understand our copyright policy and our policies regarding how to use non-free content Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may request an unblock by first reading the guide to appealing blocks, then adding the following text to the bottom of your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  — Diannaa 🍁 (talk) 02:04, 24 May 2017 (UTC)Reply

I have blocked your account, because in spite of repeated warnings, you continued to add copyright material to this wiki in violation of our copyright policy and copyright law. You cannot resume editing until you provide a clear statement that demonstrates that you have read and understand our copyright policy and intend to follow it in the future. — Diannaa 🍁 (talk) 02:06, 24 May 2017 (UTC)Reply

Request reason:

I am sorry if it was such a big issue i used publicly available public website and wanted to contribute to wikipedia but if it against some policy which i was not aware i tender my unconditional apology, please do consider it last time thank you

Decline reason:

You will not be unblocked unless the reviewing admin is convinced that you understand why your edits were problematic (technically illegal, in this case), that you understand how copyright works, and that you understand Wikipedia's copyright policy. Since this request does not convince me of these things, I am declining it. Yunshui  12:11, 25 May 2017 (UTC)Reply

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Request reason:

Hey i am sorry, as i already mentioned i am new here so was not fully aware how this copyright law works since while editing i try to look for most authentic source of information and wikipedia is all about gather important sources at one place, and it was an open public website so was not aware that might be an issue as i also mentioned the same in reference for other to check and follow, i think merely on this it would be quite unfair towards a amateur wikipedia contributor who wants to make knowledge available to all. You can also see all my 100 edits provided here i am all for sharing not for vandalism or propagation. So, kindly hear my request and unblock and help me contribute instead punishing me like this Thank you Manoharg1 (talk) 13:17, 26 May 2017 (UTC)Reply

Decline reason:

This convinces me that you do not understand WP:COPYRIGHT and WP:FU. You need to convince us that you do understand these critical policies. Your actions placed the Wikipedia project in jeopardy; they are critically important. Yamla (talk) 14:41, 26 May 2017 (UTC)Reply

Request reason:

Hey I am saying this repeatedly that I am sorry, I would make sure this wonot happen again, as i acknowledge my mistake so could you please unblock me, so that i can contribute more to wiki as i have been a regular contributor here! thank you hope you will understand

Decline reason:

I'm sorry if this is turning into a bit of an ordeal for you, but copyright is a very serious issue (and a very important legal one). While your apologies are welcome, it is actually very common for people to say they understand a policy-related problem without actually really understanding it. Your repeated copyright violations even after several warnings don't give me sufficient confidence that you really do understand it, and I don't think I have seen enough to unblock. What I think is really needed is for you to explain, in some detail and in your own words, your understanding of Wikipedia's copyright policies. Proposed deletion of Kinkar Mukhopadhyay Sarani

edit

Hello, Manoharg1. I wanted to let you know that I’m proposing an article that you started, Kinkar Mukhopadhyay Sarani, for deletion because I don't think it meets our criteria for inclusion. If you don't want the article deleted:

  1. edit the page
  2. remove the text that looks like this: {{proposed deletion/dated...}}
  3. save the page

Also, be sure to explain why you think the article should be kept in your edit summary or on the article's talk page. If you don't do so, it may be deleted later anyway.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions.

Proposed deletion of Cabinet Committee on Accommodation

edit

The article Cabinet Committee on Accommodation has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

No evidence of any notability for this minor bureaucratic group. Might have been a speedy had it not had a history involving several editors

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.  Velella  Velella Talk   22:25, 11 July 2017 (UTC)Reply
