The Electra

edit

The Electra is an influential underground rock group from the Bay Area California.[1] Formed in 1985 by Brian Nixon and Jeff Carlson (a.k.a Jeff Jank) [2], and later joined by Chris Manak (a.k.a. Peanut Butter Wolf). The Electra influenced several musical artists [3], especially through the ongoing musical production of the various members of the group [4]. The music consisted of alternative, punk, hip-hop, and avant-garde influences. [5]

The Electra put out one major release, USAmerica with Epithet/Americannon Records. [6]

The original members formed other successful musical groups and entities: Stones Throw Records, Widow’s Mite, and Canterbury. [7]
