March 2016 edit

Hello, I'm Eteethan. I wanted to let you know that I reverted one of your recent contributions —the one you made with this edit to Isaiah Richardson Jr.— because it didn’t appear constructive to me. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. Eteethan(talk) 19:41, 2 March 2016 (UTC)Reply

Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Isaiah Richardson Jr.. Your edits appear to constitute vandalism and have been reverted or removed. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Repeated vandalism can result in the loss of editing privileges. Thank you. JimVC3 (talk) 19:59, 2 March 2016 (UTC) This entire post is incorrect. It is called correction.Reply

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Isaiah Richardson Jr.. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Please be particularly aware that Wikipedia's policy on edit warring states:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made.
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes; work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing.--Jezebel's Ponyobons mots 23:06, 2 March 2016 (UTC)Reply

Isaiah Richardson Jr. edit

Your recent editing history at Isaiah Richardson Jr. shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the article's talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See BRD for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Being involved in an edit war can result in your being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly.
You cannot add the kind of material you added to the article recently. You have now made 6 reverts in the last 24 hours, which in itself will get you blocked. If you revert once, more you'll be taken the edit-warring noticeboard. Please read the above warning carefully and discuss your issues calmly at Talk:Isaiah Richardson Jr..   You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you vandalize Wikipedia, as you did at Isaiah Richardson Jr.. -- Michael Scott Cuthbert (talk) 17:51, 3 March 2016 (UTC)Reply

Blocked for 31 hours for edit warring edit

You have been blocked from editing for a period of 31 hours for edit warring, as you did at Isaiah Richardson Jr.. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may appeal this block by first reading the guide to appealing blocks, then adding the following text to the bottom of your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.

During a dispute, you should first try to discuss controversial changes and seek consensus. If that proves unsuccessful, you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection.

When you return from this block, please discuss the changes you intend to make at Talk:Isaiah Richardson Jr. and convince others they are correct. Also, listen to what others have to say, and arrive at a consensus. Attempting to force others to accept your own version of an article, by repeatedly shouting at them and pushing your own version through by sheer force of will is not allowed at Wikipedia. Instead, we talk civilly about our concerns, we listen to other people, and we try to arrive at a civil consensus to solve our disagreements. --Jayron32 17:57, 3 March 2016 (UTC)Reply

Just to add I tagged the page for deletion because creating the article in mainspace wasn't the right venue for your question. You might want to pose your question at the helpdesk instead, and you may get a better answer there. RickinBaltimore (talk) 13:58, 31 May 2016 (UTC)Reply
Hello Mambojazz1. I think what happened is that the old version of the deleted article is mirrored at deletedwikipedia.gawker-labs.com If you saw that article, it wasn't what the current real Wikipedia page says. That's why you found it empty when you tried to edit it. Unfortunately, there's nothing we can do about mirror sites like this, although at least it doesn't appear in the first page of the Google results for "Isaiah Richardson Jr.". Best wishes, Voceditenore (talk) 16:10, 31 May 2016 (UTC)Reply
