Embelishment edit

Watch your creative embellishment of the facts on the Seal Hunting article, seal hunt supporter. Turning the MSNBC article text from Heather Mills was "gently nipped at" into "bitten" by a baby seal will only turn you into a "non-editor" very quickly. I have tried to improve that text by adding the Azerbaijani side to the issue but without removing any of the facts. Yet it was reverted twice. Can you explain that? Thanks in advance.

Speedy deletion of Givrakh edit

A tag has been placed on Givrakh requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. infoboxes edit

Please do not create your own infoboxes using wikitables as you have doing [1][2][3] On the English Wikipedia, we have many existing Wikipedia:Infoboxes that should be used. See Wikipedia:List of infoboxes/Geography#Country subdivisions - Provinces, districts, counties and such. If you need a new infobox, please discuss a new template on a WikiProject. John Vandenberg (talk) 01:34, 24 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

RE these boxes OK I'll stop adding them. But I don't really understand what's wrong and I was simply doing as I'd been requested - ie to help improve Azerbaijan pages. I had been adding in same-style text boxes as those previously used in other cases on other Azerbaijan rayons. It seems strangely negative to simply remove these boxes which had taken some time for me to prepare (including the checking of population figs, post codes etc).

If you don't like the actual design of the boxes, then why not change them rather than simply reverting? In the mean time I'll revert them to how they were so that if people want to they don't at least need to look up the figures all over again...

I welcome further clarifications but please don't just remove!Malikbek (talk) 11:51, 27 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for asking me on my talk page; I didnt notice your response here. I dont think I that I reverted any of them. I noticed that User:Andranikpasha reverted one, and I left a message explaining why. Dont get too worried about the information being "lost". It isnt lost - it is in the history, and can be retrieved and improved on. I will definitely help you with this tomorrow. John Vandenberg (talk) 13:03, 27 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

Notability of Tom Faulkner (music) edit

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Tom Faulkner (music), by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Tom Faulkner (music) seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Tom Faulkner (music), please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. AfD nomination of Murder in Samarkand edit

I have nominated Murder in Samarkand, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Murder in Samarkand. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time. Proposed deletion of Music in space edit

The article Music in space has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Topic doesn't warrant its own article. The playing of music in space is already mentioned in Gemini_6A#Rendezvous and Ronald_McNair#Music_in_Space_project.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. PDCook (talk) 16:13, 4 January 2010 (UTC)Reply

AfD nomination of Music in space edit

An editor has nominated one or more articles which you have created or worked on, for deletion. The nominated article is Music in space. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also Wikipedia:Notability and "What Wikipedia is not").

Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion(s) by adding your comments to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Music in space. Please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).

You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate.

Please note: This is an automatic notification by a bot. I have nothing to do with this article or the deletion nomination, and can't do anything about it. --Erwin85Bot (talk) 01:09, 15 January 2010 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Dog Judo edit

A tag has been placed on Dog Judo, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia for multiple reasons. Please visit the article for details.

You may wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles. See the Article Wizard.

Thank you.

Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not meet basic Wikipedia criteria may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as an appropriate article, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is appropriate, you may contest the tagging. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the page and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. TRANSPORTERMAN (TALK) 18:15, 28 September 2010 (UTC)Reply
