Speedy deletion nomination of Thazathu Chandapilla Kathanar edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Thazathu Chandapilla Kathanar requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a real person or group of people that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. —Bruce1eetalk 17:39, 1 February 2020 (UTC)Reply

February 2020 edit

Hello, I'm TheAwesomeHwyh. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Malankara Metropolitan, but you didn't provide a source. I’ve removed it for now, but if you’d like to include a citation to a reliable source and re-add it, please do so! If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. TheAwesomeHwyh 19:00, 1 February 2020 (UTC)Reply

Please do not add or significantly change content without citing verifiable and reliable sources, as you did with this edit to Malankara Metropolitan. Before making any potentially controversial edits, it is recommended that you discuss them first on the article's talk page. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. TheAwesomeHwyh 19:02, 1 February 2020 (UTC)Reply

Liturgical Calendar of the Mar Thoma Syrian Church moved to draftspace edit

An article you recently created, Liturgical Calendar of the Mar Thoma Syrian Church, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. creffett (talk) 19:04, 1 February 2020 (UTC)Reply

Copying within Wikipedia requires attribution edit

Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from List of Malankara Metropolitans into Malankara Syrian Metropolitans. While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and linking to the copied page, e.g., copied content from [[page name]]; see that page's history for attribution. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. The attribution has been provided for this situation, but if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, please provide attribution for that duplication. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. If you are the sole author of the prose that was copied, attribution is not required. — Diannaa (talk) 12:10, 2 February 2020 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Vestments in the Mar Thoma Syrian Church edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Vestments in the Mar Thoma Syrian Church requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from http://misc.co.in/what-each-rite-ritual-symbol-means/. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

July 2020 edit

Your recent editing history at Mar Thoma Syrian Church shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See the bold, revert, discuss cycle for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you do not violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly.
Please be aware that the Mar Thoma Syrian Church article is not "your business" and you do not own it. It is Wikipedia's business. You are not permitted to tell others not to edit it and you need to try to reach consensus with other editors. Escape Orbit (Talk) 12:44, 19 July 2020 (UTC)Reply

Hello MalankaraSuriyaniNazrani. Please be aware that the next time you revert at Mar Thoma Syrian Church you are risking a block. Have patience and wait for others to agree with you. If they don't agree, you shouldn't go ahead regardless. The steps of WP:Dispute resolution are open to you. EdJohnston (talk) 13:20, 19 July 2020 (UTC)Reply
EdJohnston (talk · contribs) Isnt the other editor affected by the same blockage. I believe his is not ready to talk and sort the same. MalankaraSuriyaniNazrani (talk) 13:22, 19 July 2020 (UTC)Reply
You have edited the article four times and the other party has done it only three times. You should wait for agreement. Your change *does* appear to be unsourced POV-pushing. Your own personal evaluation of the history and beliefs of the church is not a source for Wikipedia. We need published sources. EdJohnston (talk) 14:40, 19 July 2020 (UTC)Reply

EdJohnston should it be web sources. Could it be written articles published in the offical magazine of the Church? MalankaraSuriyaniNazrani (talk) 14:58, 19 July 2020 (UTC)Reply

The official magazine would be considered a self published source and would not be acceptable for Wikipedia. EdJohnston (talk) 14:59, 19 July 2020 (UTC)Reply

EdJohnston then what is the source that is to be attributed. MalankaraSuriyaniNazrani (talk) 17:29, 19 July 2020 (UTC)Reply

EdJohnston the wikipedia instructions does say Magazines are allowed. MalankaraSuriyaniNazrani (talk) 17:30, 19 July 2020 (UTC)Reply

A church magazine would only be allowed to describe the church's view of itself. It couldn't be used to objectively place the church with respect to other churches in Asia. For that, you would be better off with a scholarly work, by someone not affiliated with any of the churches. EdJohnston (talk) 18:56, 19 July 2020 (UTC)Reply

Request reason:

From what I understand I have been blocked for something called as sockpuppetery. From what I understand a sockpuppet is someone who creates and account for deception or uses multiple accounts to spread false information. This is a wrong charge that has been levied on me. I have only used the account MalankaraSuriyaniNazrani to edit writings or informations which does not completely encopass the truth. I am from Kerla, India and a Christian, hence a majority of my editing is solely on the ancient Indian Church and the denominations that are part of the same. I have to my best extent provided truthful information with citations ans references. There are a lot of people who are unwantedly editing and has tried to demean other cultures, I have tried to prevent that and ask then to make such actions. I have to my best knowlege provided actual truths. And it really pains me that the contribution that I have made has all become futile, especially the article of Mar Thoma Syrian Church is all distorted by a wikipedia users when they got the chace to do so. I hope my appeal to unblock will be heard by the volunteer team of wikepdia, and unblock me so that I may continue to percieve to providing the right facts.
