Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but your recent edit removed maintenance templates from Pugalur. When removing maintenance templates, please be sure to either resolve the problem that the template refers to, or give a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Merge proposal edit

Please discuss the merge proposal I have made at Talk:TNPL Pugalur#Merge proposal, rather than at my talk page so that the rest of the community can be part of the discussion. WikiDan61ChatMe!ReadMe!! 14:58, 1 July 2010 (UTC)Reply

Kagithapuram or TNPL Pugalur edit

Dear All,I Agree with Mr.Malaiappasamy.
It will be a big blender, if we merge Pugalur & TNPL Pugalur, TNPL Pugalur is a article which is supposed to have a name of Kagithapuram. Kagithapuram & Pugalur are two different Panchayats among Punnam, Nanjai Pugalur, Punjai Pugalur, Vettamangalam, Thirukkaduthurai, Kombupalayam, and Punjai Thottakuruchi. Pls have a look at Tamilnadu Election Commissions Data] Raj6644 (talk) 12:46, 2 July 2010 (UTC)Reply
Perhaps I am confused by the naming of Indian places (I'm an American). If "TNPL Pugalur" should really be named Kagithapuram, then we should just move the article to its proper title, and reference the place by its proper name in that article. WikiDan61ChatMe!ReadMe!! 13:26, 2 July 2010 (UTC)Reply
My suggestion is
  • Leave the article as it is TNPL Pugalur else
  • Rename the article as Kagithapuram with TNPL Pugalur REDIRECTED to Kagithapuram
I like to justify that the name Kagithapuram is more appropriate. Because of the TNPL's Paper mill only the village has got the name Kagithapuram. Paper Means Kagitham (காகிதம்) in Tamil. Check out this link. I Hope we can remove that Merge Template from the Head of the Article. Raj6644 (talk) 05:06, 3 July 2010 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of History of Tamil People edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on History of Tamil People requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a clear copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words.

If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hang on}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion, or "db", tag; if no such tag exists, then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hang-on tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Yes, no more idiocy about "Tamil is the mother of all dravidian languages". If you are not intending to vandalize the articles, please read up a bit on your language so you know what you're talking about. — kwami (talk) 18:35, 31 January 2015 (UTC)Reply
