Welcome!

Hello, Mafb09, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of the pages you created, like RMS (reservoir software), may not conform to some of Wikipedia's guidelines for page creation, and may soon be deleted (if it hasn't already).

There's a page about creating articles you may want to read called Your first article. If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the New contributors' help page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, you can just type {{helpme}} on this page, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Here are a few other good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you have any questions, check out Wikipedia:Where to ask a question or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome! andy (talk) 08:05, 10 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion of RMS (reservoir software)

edit

A tag has been placed on RMS (reservoir software), requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be blatant advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the guidelines on spam as well as Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. andy (talk) 08:05, 10 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

Please do not remove speedy deletion notices from pages you have created yourself, as you did with RMS (reservoir software). Please use the {{hangon}} template on the page instead if you disagree with the deletion. Thank you. andy (talk) 08:10, 10 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

AfD nomination of Irap rms

edit

I have nominated Irap RMS Suite, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Irap RMS Suites. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.

Please contact me if you're unsure why you received this message. Mayalld (talk) 08:04, 18 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

I have contested the deletion of Irap RMS Suite and started work on it. Any help you could provide would be welcome. Aaron Walkhouse (talk) 15:25, 19 March 2009 (UTC)Reply
I'm working on improving the article so that it isn't deleted. Any information you have which can be verified would be very useful, and your input would be much appreciated. :) — neuro(talk)(review) 20:47, 22 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

Tempest Software

edit

‎HI Mafb09, I have deleted ‎Tempest Software under speedy deletion criteria G11. Your contributions seem rather promotional in nature (indeed, this article was just a copy of the promotional blurb on the official website), so perhaps you could read through WP:COI, thanks. RMS (reservoir software)

edit

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of RMS (reservoir software), and it appears to include a substantial copy of http://wikibin.org/articles/irap-rms.html. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details.

This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. CorenSearchBot (talk) 08:15, 14 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of RMS (reservoir software)

edit

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article RMS (reservoir software), suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:

No notability and not a basic computer software.

All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Fair use rationale for File:ROXARlogo medium.jpg

edit

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:ROXARlogo medium.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the file description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 12:55, 14 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

Problems with upload of File:RMS UI.tif

edit

Thanks for uploading File:RMS UI.tif. You don't seem to have said where the image came from, who created it, or what the copyright status is. We require this information to verify that the image is legally usable on Wikipedia, and because most image licenses require giving credit to the image's creator.

To add this information, click on this link, then click the "Edit" tab at the top of the page and add the information to the image's description. If you need help, post your question on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions.

Orphaned non-free image File:Roxar logosmall.jpg

edit

Thanks for uploading File:Roxar logosmall.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 18:02, 11 October 2018 (UTC)Reply
