Deschooling
editHi MadisonLiggio I've reverted the content you put in the article. It pretty much destroyed the article. The content was good, but it was a mess. Please refer to Help:Referencing for beginners in how to create inline citations. You removed the context, which is the meaning of the article. The lede needs to have context, so the read knows what the article is about, and why that subject is notable. That was removed. The article needs inline citations. Give me a shout if you need help. The WP:TEAHOUSE is a good place for help. Give me a shout as well, and I will help you. scope_creep (talk) 12:03, 29 October 2018 (UTC)
- Sorry there is inline citations, but you missed a critical part. scope_creep (talk) 12:06, 29 October 2018 (UTC)
- Doi's should use cite journal in the edit window. For example, http://dx.doi.org/10.5040/9781472541406.ch-013 This full lookup service + the doi you have given. The actual DOI is 10.5040/9781472541406.ch-013 If you put that in the lookup window in cite journal and press the wee icon on the right of the window in cite journal, it will populate the whole dialog for you, then you put it in. You also missed adding:
==References== {{reflist}}
at the end of the article. This is a template that collects all the references in one spot at the bottom of the article. scope_creep (talk) 12:10, 29 October 2018 (UTC)
References Deschooling
editHi MadisonLiggio I've removed an a reference to a David Tinapple site, here:[1]. That is unreliable source, specifically user edit without peer review. Do not add it back in. scope_creep (talk) 12:17, 19 November 2018 (UTC)
DYK nomination
editHi! I have a quick note about the nomination - I know that the article was expanded, but I don't know if it was expanded enough or not. Articles have to be expanded to five times their original length and this is going to be kind of close. If there's more to add to the article, I'd definitely continue to work on it. One recommendation I can make is to add a reception section - I know that there has to be quite a lot of commentary on deschooling, both positive and negative. Things to look at may be these articles: [2], [3], [4],[5], [6], [7], [8], [9]. The last one is interesting since it gives off the impression that Illich's own viewpoints towards deschooling shifted over time. I'm not sure if all of these could be useful, but they looked promising. Shalor (Wiki Ed) (talk) 14:45, 19 November 2018 (UTC)
Incomplete DYK nomination
editHello! Your submission of Template:Did you know nominations/Deschooling at the Did You Know nominations page is not complete; if you would like to continue, please link the nomination to the nominations page as described in step 3 of the nomination procedure. If you do not want to continue with the nomination, tag the nomination page with {{db-g7}}, or ask a DYK admin. Thank you. DYKHousekeepingBot (talk) 17:22, 20 November 2018 (UTC)
