I'm not exactly new to Wikipedia, I just spend lots of time reading it and don't really edit much at all but thanks for the links and information you have provided above. I did read that article once on reliable sources but I didn't read it clearly I think. Thanks also for head up on this. I'll be more careful about that in the future. Puerto Rico project

O.K., in regard to your message, Caribbean HQ, Marcos, David, Mistman, Joel and I are very active in Puerto Rican related articles in Wikipedia. We also make sure that our Puerto Rican related articles are not vandalized and are kept up to date. We normally communicate among ourselves in our "talk pages" and when a situation arises which concerns the Puerto Rican community we'll go to the "project talk page". The newsletter is intended to help all members to keep up with the latest news relating to the project. I will continue Eddie's format and willingness to include new material by request. Se levanta un gigante dormido Saludos to all, I present to you the new version of our project's Newsletter. It has been almost a year since the last edition, but rest assured that we haven't been lazy. Our Good Article count has raised by 11, while we have produced two Featured Lists and two Featured Articles. I will tweak the delivery format, from now on the Newsletter will be delivered per season. That means four anual editions, one for summer, fall, winter and spring. Speaking of summer, it has been a hot one, make sure to check out the project news below. Project News Automotivado joined the project on July 24. We welcome him and recognize his efforts in Puerto Rico Islanders and other articles covering Association football in Puerto Rico. Keep up the good work! Reverie has returned after an extended hiatus. She needs help finding new projects for her portfolio, if you have any image requests, please help her in this task. Román Baldorioty de Castro, Francisco Coimbre, Lolita Lebrón and Félix Trinidad are now of Good Article quality. List of Major League Baseball players from Puerto Rico passed Featured List Nomination on July 10. Puerto Rican Amazon passed Featured Article nomination on August 14. A fact from Hector Feliciano was featured in the "Did you Know?" section of the main page on August 16. Puerto Rican Campaign is currently a Good Article nominee, suggestions for improvement are welcomed.
Puerto Rican Highlight On August 3, Tarah Gieger became the first athlete from Puerto Rico to win a gold medal at the Summer X Games. (ESPN Deportes) In 2007, Gieger also became the first woman to participate at a Motocross des Nations, being part of Team Puerto Rico.

The newsletter is intended to help all members to keep up with the latest news relating to the project. Flags and records Greetings, during the past months, there has been a lot of activity and active discussion surrounding articles within our scope. Of particular interest is one that took place in Flag of Puerto Rico, in which several project members exposed their points of view regarding the tones of our flag. Ultimately, research brought forth a severe loophole in the regulation employed by the Senate of Puerto Rico. Our flag doesn't have official tones! Attempting to prevent future conflicts, I presented a proposal in the project's talk page. The subsequent discussion served as an perfect example of consensus. Thanks to everyone for your participation. In other news, our friend Tony the Marine added another impressive achievement to his brilliant resume. On December 8, 2008, his DYK hook for Ivan Castro (soldier) broke the previous all-time record for more views, receiving 71,300 visits. Project News On January 3, 2009, Cerejota presented a draft interested in establishing a solid style guide for the project. The current revision can be seen here, further suggestions can be placed in the project's talk page. Puerto Rican Campaign, Jewish immigration to Puerto Rico, Currencies of Puerto Rico and Sixto Escobar are now of good article quality. Facts from Isabel Gonzalez, Jewish immigration to Puerto Rico, Chinese immigration to Puerto Rico, Ivan Castro (soldier), Currencies of Puerto Rico, Orlando Antigua and Jaime Fonalledas were featured in the "Did you know..." section of the main page. List of Puerto Rican boxing world champions is currently a featured list candidate Luis Muñoz Rivera and Flag of Puerto Rico, articles within our scope, are currently good article nominees.
Puerto Rican Highlight On November 1, Jonathan González won the flyweight division's gold medal at the International Boxing Association's Youth World Championships. (Primera Hora) González joins John John Molina, Aníbal Santiago Acevedo, Carlos Febres and Daniel Alicea as gold medalists in this competition. Did you Know? That the Elfin-woods Warbler, an endemic bird of Puerto Rico first observed in 1968, is the last New World warbler species to be discovered?

I agree with you that the article does need some work. Feel free to make the proper edits. One of the main concerns is that the article should be free of point-of-view edits and that the content stated should provide reliable verifiable sources as required by policy.
