FYI, Controversies of Rudy Giuliani has now been dismantled, with its legitimate contents disbursed among the appropriate Giuliani articles and its unworthy contents junked. See Talk:Controversies of Rudy Giuliani for more. This is pertinent to your concern that it was unfair that Republican candidates had such articles and Hillary Clinton did not. Comments on Talk:Hillary Clinton

Mactographer, I would also suggest that you apologize to the editors of the Hillary Rodham Clinton article for your rather uneducated comment about them being sockpuppets of the Clinton campaign.[1] If you take a look at the edit history for the Giuliani and McCain articles you will find that many of the editors on the Clinton article and talk page were also the ones (particularly Wasted Time R) that were in large part responsible for the dismantling of the Criticism section and/or articles in those articles. What you see reflected on the Clinton article and on many other politician articles, is a general dislike of criticism sections that has been applied across party lines and without regard to a person's political beliefs and/or practices. --Bobblehead ^(rants) 23:57, 15 December 2007 (UTC)

Copyright problem

Another editor has listed Image:Worship-leader.jpg as having a copyright problem. There has been a discussion here. For simplicity I've pasted the discussion from that page below:

Image:Worship-leader.jpg- Although this is the author's own work it does appear to include copyrighted material. Namely the lyrics to a song which has restrictions on reproduction. For example for a church to use those lyrics on a projector system as shown they must have a valid CCLI licence. Although done in good faith, I am unsure as to whether the appearance of the lyrics within this photograph constitute copyright infringement or not. I put a note on the image's talk page some time ago.Crimperman (talk) 13:40, 8 January 2008 (UTC) Okay, this is a free work that incorporates non-free lyrics. However, the use is minimal, and certainly counts as fair use under U.S. law. Huckabee just had another one of those things where sounds came out of his mouth, but they weren't sensible when he said 44. Bridges does not seem to meet wiki's notability guideline WP:NRVE. In order to be considered notable, it must have received significant coverage from third-parties. Stones, henges, userpages, and photographs

This is the part of my original response on Talk:Stonehenge which I felt strayed from the matter at hand there. No particular order:

Badger Drink logorrhoea

The high priority you place on a userpage is utterly absurd - this is an encyclopedia, not Facebook. Discover is a magazine, written by and for people who already know what Stonehenge is - as such, they're more open to artistic flair. To put it another way, in terms I have no doubt you'll understand: The qualities which make a good senior picture are completely different from the qualities that make a good goth-rock album cover (unless you're going for an ironic effect in the latter, of course). Van Gogh didn't do presidential portraits, James Joyce didn't write for the front page of the New York Times. When I originally labelled your work as "amateurish", I was speaking in the context of this being an encyclopedia. Beethoven's 5th is an amateurish way to depict an E-flat. It struck me as the contribution of an anonymous editor, or editor who had not been with the project for very long - someone eager to contribute something, anything, even if that some/anything was more fitting for a flickrstream than an encyclopedia. Wiki-amateur, photography-pro. I stand by that assessment, for the reasons I outlined in my first post to Talk:Stonehenge. You can repeat "rule of thirds" as often as you like, the facts remain that there's more ground than sky, and while the eye is eventually drawn to Stonehenge itself, it doesn't fall upon it naturally as it would if the photographer had stopped blindly following the letter of the teachings he learned in photography 101, and actually centered the stupid rocks in the stupid viewfinder like most of us "barbarian heathens" would if given a camera. Photographers who worry about straight-out-of-camera (SOOC) shots can be largely lumped into two categories: 1) those who are insecure about their abilities to truly capture the moment and feel they must resort to smoke and Photoshop-mirrors (I'd put the average 15 year old on Deviantart in this category), and 2) those who are looking for an artistic effect, an emotional reaction by the viewer; as opposed to an honest representation of their subject. This is the category I'd place the Stonehenge-Green file under. I'm speaking in terms of digital photography, digital display here - analog is a whole different story, as is physical print media. I resent the accusation that I recruited help, or personally got the page locked on the WRONGVERSION. People can disagree with you without being part of some vast conspiracy orchestrated by a redlinked non-entity such as myself. Grow up. I'm not quite sure how two histrionic posts to my talk page are at all relevant to this discussion (the first was by an editor whose off-kilter approach to editing is well-documented on his talk-page, the second was someone rankled to their very core over my saying that the phrase "an human" only made sense in scouse-speak), but you keep bringing them up as if they are. I would venture that, if anything, they're proof that there are people on this project far crazier than you and I combined.

Notification: changes to "Mark my edits as minor by default" preference

Hello there. This is an automated message to tell you about the gradual phasing out of the preference entitled "Mark all edits minor by default", which you currently have (or very recently had) enabled.
