Welcome!

Hello, Maariveraa, and welcome to Wikipedia! My name is Shalor and I work with the Wiki Education Foundation; I help support students who are editing as part of a class assignment.

I hope you enjoy editing here. If you haven't already done so, please check out the student training library, which introduces you to editing and Wikipedia's core principles. You may also want to check out the Teahouse, a community of Wikipedia editors dedicated to helping new users. Below are some resources to help you get started editing.

Auto-citing a source using VisualEditor

Hi Maariveraa, I saw your help request on my talk page. When in edit mode, click the "cite" button on the top toolbar. Using the automatic tab will work for most resources. If you have a news story or other web resource, you would paste in the URL. If you have a book, paste in the ISBN. If it's an academic journal, use the DOI (it begins "10."). Once it's generated the reference, click insert! More information in our adding citations training. Make sure you are citing reliable sources! Hope that helps, Elysia (Wiki Ed) (talk) 20:46, 8 October 2019 (UTC)Reply
