Oops! You put three different posts on Talk:Santa Claus about the same topic! You only need to start one conversation about your concern, so I removed the two in the middle of the talk page and left the one at the bottom, since that's where people look to see new conversations. -FisherQueen (talk · contribs) 16:23, 23 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

Thanks!

About the Santa article..I hope and think that as a reliable article in Wikipedia, it should be written right. Santa shold not be referred or told to be a real and historical person Saint Nicholas!! The article Santa Claus should only tell about him and leave the other countries Christmas figures and traditions in peace. Thank You--MOddeBonniot (talk) 16:32, 23 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

There was a real person, Nicholas of Myra. His life inspired a legendary figure, Saint Nicholas. That legend inspired another legendary figure, Santa Claus. I think that a good article about Santa Claus should include information about where the legend came from. -FisherQueen (talk · contribs) 16:35, 23 December 2009 (UTC)Reply
Hello!

Bishop Saint Nicolas is a true person and historical figure - not a legendary figure as You may refer?. American Santa Claus is inspired by dutch Sint Nicolaas, known also as Sinterklaas, who was the first legendary figure closely inspired by the historical person bishop Saint Nicolas. This dutch sinterklaas was the inspirational figure of Santa Claus, who is a true North-American figure. So, it is needles to refer to closely Santa Claus with the historical Saint Nicolas - refering and telling the influence is absolutely ok but someone should change the writing in the beginning of the article that says that "Santa Claus is known as Saint Nicholas, etc.." ! Whos can doi it as the article seems to be protected - which really is strange as the article includes such major errors!--MOddeBonniot (talk) 17:22, 23 December 2009 (UTC) I wish You Merry Christmas:)Reply
