Brama caribbea moved to draftspace

edit

An article you recently created, Brama caribbea, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. @Willbb234: I have made additional edits and expanded the literature cited. I would appreciate it if you could take a moment to review the changes. Please let me know if you still have concerns and I will do what I can to address them. Cheers. MChGilbert (talk) 19:26, 4 January 2020 (UTC)Reply

Please do not add or change content without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Please provide sources to meet WP:GNG. Also, I don't know why you keep on providing publications by a particular scientist, please provide a range of sources to satisfy WP:V. Cheers Willbb234Talk (please {{ping}} me in replies) 18:08, 4 January 2020 (UTC)Reply

@Willbb234: All information that I have added - anywhere - are from reliable, peer reviewed publications in scientific journals, so I am not sure to what you are referring to when you instruct me to provide sources. Data on this family are limited, much of the work was done by Giles W Mead jr. In 1972, Mead published a substantial monograph on the entire family that encompassed all researchable aspects at the time. The single monograph provides indepth information and, for the most part, contains the majority of what we know about the family. Seeing as he did nearly all of the work relating to the family Bramidae, it seems only appropriate to cite him when this family is discussed. In short, there is not a great deal of information regarding the family as a whole and much of what we do know comes from that monograph - or is based in his work. I will admit, I am still figuring out the ins and outs of editing Wikipedia, since I am a new user. I appreciate the feedback and, hopefully, I will be able to track down additional publications to satisfy your concerns. Cheers. MChGilbert (talk) 19:26, 4 January 2020 (UTC)Reply
