Hi MCDB40Student81!

Your edits are great and read smoothly. I appreciate that you chose to add history and controversy sections to your topic, along with the biological mechanisms. Perhaps clarifying that Vincristine is common between all types of VAMP could help to provide some initial context. Also, perhaps using more neutral language (e.g. in history section, fourth paragraph) might be more appropriate for an online encyclopedia. A future direction might be to address the biological mechanism of drug synergism.

Best, Eric

Thank you, Eric! I will take your advice and fix up the tonal issues in the history paragraph. I will also add a short sentence with more specific information about why combination chemotherapy is more effective than single chemotherapy regimens.

Wikipedia Blog Entry: Wrapping Things Up

I think I did not follow the updated blog directions correctly, so in order to make up for this, I will give a brief summary of the things that I did to wrap up my Wikipedia assignment and move it to a polished final version over the last few weeks. My main problems were a few tonal issues and the issue of neutrality in pieces of my history section. In response to these issues, I first fixed up sentences that were a bit clunky or did not sound like they came from a Wikipedia article. Then, I did additional research on the history and development of VAMP, so that I could make the information in my History section more balanced and credible; I ended up finding four new sources for the history of VAMP by using Yale Articles+. Although none of these sources alone had a tremendous amount of information, together they really did help me fill in some gaps in the History section and also make the section more balance. As a final step, I changed the language to sound more neutral when discussing the controversy over the VAMP trials. Finally, in response to direction from a medical school librarian, I supplemented my Mechanism section with a new source, Micromedex, which made the information in this section of the article more credible.
