ArbCom elections are now open!

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Bermuda

edit

A few points; first, I have rewritten the disagreeable sentences in the Background section to be less repetitive. Second, if you look at the list of GAs you'd find that there are, literally, a hundred articles similar to this one that have passed GA in recent years, despite their relative lack of length, they are all notable under WP:NOLY. Third, I've restored the GA review page, Talk:Bermuda at the 2010 Winter Olympics/GA1, for housekeeping reasons, and will momentarily note my comments here over there. Except for extrenuating circumstances (Abandoned nominations, reviews created by the nominator), these should not be speedily deleted. The bot will transclude the review page on the main talk page for you, there is no need to repeat your efforts in creating two reviews. This is easier for both reviewers and nominators. Finally, enjoy GA reviewing, it is supposed to be fun and is quite rewarding watching articles improve in the process, the point is to improve and pass articles, not to fail them -- failing articles hurts, and I've done it quite a few times. Apologies User:Courcelles - The pages I've seen must clearly be in the minority. I had the impression that GAs were relatively rare so wanted to ensure that I was not incorrectly passing one. Thanks for the advice, and I will now re-review this. Thanks for the feedback.M00036 (talk) 20:05, 5 May 2018 (UTC)Reply
GA's aren't really that rare, there's something like 27,000 of them. If you ever want to review one together with an experienced reviewer, I'd be happy to help you out! Courcelles (talk) 20:08, 5 May 2018 (UTC)Reply
Thanks, I appreciate the support. As I say, purely a misconception on my part. M00036 (talk) 20:09, 5 May 2018 (UTC)Reply
Anytime, I'd love to help new folks get involved in the GA process. (PS. DOn't forget, when you promote an article, it has to manually be listed on the list. You'd think with all the bots in the GA process we'd have solved this by now, but no.) Courcelles (talk) 20:11, 5 May 2018 (UTC)Reply

Hi. Please do not post disambiguation links of the players. Check after your edits and correct them to the actual player's link. I can't go around and correcting every one of them. Thanks. Human (talk) 21:43, 18 August 2021 (UTC)Reply

Thanks @Human and apologies, I thought the links appeared red but looks like that's only if there's no page at all. --M00036 (talk) 11:26, 19 August 2021 (UTC)Reply
