Plots edit

Hi. I noticed on your last edit for Thavamai Thavamirundhu you wrote a plot for the film including opinions about how you felt about the film, and how you interpreted it yourself. Its great you enjoyed it and I know other users do this too, where they sometimes include self made reviews, but in order to keep the articles neutral, I think it would be better for any opinions and comparissons etc. about the subject of the article to be kept on the discussion page of that particular article. If a film portrays and discusses issues that are new, then perhaps a better way of stating that would be The film received a warm reception for being one of the first films to address x and y issues in the industry. etc. and then if needed, add a citation. If you wish to include quotations from the work of a recognised critic/reviewer concerning the film, that's completely fine, as long as it is cited/referenced well. I've cleaned that article up a bit, but it still needs work. Thanks :) Cookie90 19:26, 3 April 2006 (UTC)Reply

Kollywood edit

Hi its Prin again,

Created Jeeva, Run (film), God Father(film), Priyasakhi (Film) and edited others like Ajith, Madhavan, Vijay, Pooja, Padmapriya and Vivek.

Howz ur project on Raam getting on?

Talk back.

Cheers, Prin

Jeeva edit

I understand. Look, Jeeva is Pakistani film. It was created before actor Jeeva page. So a better way is that you leave the page Jeeva for movie as it, without changing name, and make Jeeva (Actor) for actor. Don’t change current Jeeva page. Also, make disambig for Jeeva, which Links to

This is correct way. If you do this, I dont have any issue. --Spasage 06:33, 5 April 2006 (UTC)Reply

I have made the Jeeva a Disambig page, just like Pak article and etc. I accept that Jeeva film article was created long ago before Jeeva actor. But i just followed the guidelines of Wikipedia, if more than one article have the same title we must make it a disambig page and list all the articles on that disambiguation page. Please refer Wikipedia:Disambiguation and also check Jeeva. --M.arunprasad 06:52, 5 April 2006 (UTC)Reply
I understand wikipedia guidelines, but user User:Prin was changing Jeeva article which deals with a Pakistani film to Jeeva which deals with an actor. How can you change existing article of a film to article of an actor? [1] It is simply unfair with existing article.[2] What you have done is correct. Now we have articles for both Jeeva (urdu) and Jeeva (actor). You can refer to Jeeva history for details how article was altered unfairly. It is ok and thanks for doing it. --Spasage 10:23, 5 April 2006 (UTC)Reply

Aethiree edit

Created Aethiree (film)

whenever you leave a mesg, please leave your signature :-) thats a good practise you know sometimes i get confused who left the mesg. Please read this Wikipedia:Sign_your_posts_on_talk_pages.
Also i would like to create artilce for good movies than Aethiree type of movies. why don't we create article for Veera Pandiya Kattabomman, 16 vayathinaley, mudhal mariyadhai, Punnagai Mannan etc, which are classics of Tamil cinema. What do you say ? I think it will great to see such articles in Wiki. --M.arunprasad 12:21, 5 April 2006 (UTC)Reply
Seriously I'm not old enough to remember those........I only create newbies like Nala Damayanthi and God Father
Soz,
Prin
Its fine :-) looks like you are a young person. so how old are you ?? Let me concentrate on those Classic movies when i get time. But let me tell you, people can get details about those new movies anywhere within few searches, but there are very less places where we get details about those old classic movies. So thats the purpose i asked your help, anyway you are doing good at Wiki. --M.arunprasad 12:57, 6 April 2006 (UTC)Reply

Well I'm still a teenager and I live in London. Artcles Paramasivan, Boys, Naan Kadavul and Thirupathi created. Lets keep going! By the way the article Ajith is persistantly getting vanadalized.

Hi mr Arun Prasad edit

I am the man's plan, and i have had trouble with a person named user:anwar sadat, on the ajith page, i have currently made it visually more attractive and neat by setting his films out in a table. Anwar Sadat keeps on changing it back to the crap version and is accusing me and user:Prin of vandalising the page, when it is really him. He says he changes it back because he wants the songs there. IT WON'T TAKE A GENIUS to work out u can go and listen to the songs at raaga.com.

I would like u to join this force against anwar sadat, as u have done many great things in the past. I would like to learn more abt creating articles from the three pro's on kollywood wikipedia, that is u, User:Cookie90 and user:Prin. Ur edits and makes have been very good.

User_talk:The_Man's_Plans

Hi, What is your name ? Thanks for the Everest you mounted (Ur edits and makes have been very good) on my talk page :-)). i can understand your point. But we need to talk to him and convince him instead of complaining him. Give me some time let me speak to him and lets find out a proper solution for this. I wish you both can work together on Ajith's artcle. Just have little patience, please :-) --M.arunprasad 07:07, 10 April 2006 (UTC)Reply

New films edit

Hi. Keep up the editing. Don't worry about those classics. :) I'm already onto them, and I've started creating articles for 16 vayathinaley, mudhal mariyadhai etc. You can add to them once I've finished. :) Can I suggest we all develop the existing articles more to a more detailed standard. Some of the films need a lot more work. Thanks. Happy editing. :) Cookie90 22:45, 7 April 2006 (UTC)Reply

Masala Films edit

Hello. I was just wondering whether you could convince the new contributors to create articles for more award winning arthouse/commercial films and add them to the category as oppose to masala films that aren't that great. :) Cookie90 22:54, 7 April 2006 (UTC)Reply

You can see what User:Prin had to say about contribution which i suggested. Lets try with those who are doing good contributions. Anyway let us continue our work, At one point of time they will join us. --M.arunprasad 05:48, 10 April 2006 (UTC)Reply

Hi :) edit

Hello m.arunprasad, Yes that sounds like a good idea. I'm editing articles outside cinema a bit more now. But there are still a few older films that can be added. Happy editing. I'll help out when I can. :) Thanks Cookie90 09:50, 10 April 2006 (UTC)Reply

List of popular Kollywood films - I have started it, can u help finish it

Thanks Prin

Prin, this is a good idea. I'll contribute to it as much as i can. But make a proper and honest list of successful commercial films and critically acclaimed films. Make a list of movies and we can create the articles based on that. Also i see you copied something from Bollywood article and did not delete the contents, careful when you try to emulate something. --M.arunprasad 05:06, 17 April 2006 (UTC)Reply

Hindu view of marriage edit

Hi, I see you are working on the Hindu view of marriage article. If you think it is worthwhile, feel free to untag it from proposed deletion. Regards--A Y Arktos\talk 10:52, 20 April 2006 (UTC)Reply

I worked on it, but later realised people all over India don't follow the same rituals. It differs from state to state and religion to religion. So It can be merged with some article instead of being a seperate article and get deleted. --M.arunprasad 11:31, 20 April 2006 (UTC)Reply

Hello Arun edit

You like many other users I have talked to on Wikipedia look interested in Kollywood Films? Ramesh Maddy15:42, 20 April 2006 (UTC)Reply

What to do, when i started here there were only articles on Sivaji, MGR , Rajni and Kamal. I created half of the male actors and some actresses' articles, which were later expanded by fellow wikipedians. I intend to create more articles on Tamil films, which are good and critically acclaimed. --M.arunprasad 04:17, 21 April 2006 (UTC)Reply

About user User:Anwar saadat edit

Thanks, at least you agree with me for the fact that Kandukondain Kandukondain had two main heroes and Ajith or Mammooty did not do minor guest roles. I've also checked out his biasness of Ajith. I've constantly tried to clean it up but he keeps reverting to his version. I have also made Vijay sound more successful as before his article looked equivalent to Shaam's. We should not only chuck out vandals but also biased opinioned people. Thanking You R.Madhavan 10:10, 22 April 2006 (UTC)Reply

Hi, basically User:Anwar saadat has been a good editor at wikipedia. but i think he is an admirer of Ajith, thats why he cares more for Ajith's article. I have spoke to him reagrding Vijay's article and he has agreed to offer his help on improving it.
FYI: he is one of the editors who tried to improve Vijay's article, if you see the october 2005 edits of vijay you can understand that. Instead of fighting for small issues like that, we must concentrate on creating more articles on films, actors, actresses, directors and technicians. Keep up your good work :-) --M.arunprasad 11:14, 22 April 2006 (UTC)Reply
Y...Yes, OK mate. I've been in touch with many tamil cinema related people here in wiki. Do you think it will be a wise idea to create a breakaway project called Tamil Cinema Project instead of the Indian one which really only cares on topics up north. Thanking You R.Madhavan 11:46, 22 April 2006 (UTC)Reply
Even i felt the same few months ago, but now got used to the current setup. Anyway if anything happens as you said, i would be one among the active contributors. It would be better if we discuss this idea with some Tamil Admin. --M.arunprasad 11:57, 22 April 2006 (UTC)Reply
I'm not sure but do you know a tamil administrator? I'll try to find one and bring up the matter. A telugu friend wanted to do the same but couldn't. And by the way there are now 81 tamil film articles.Whoah! Going at a rate of a train. User: Jathu looks like a new and active contributer looking at his creations of tamil films. I'll ask him to do more classic ones like Chinna Thambi, Mannan and so on. Nice talking R.Madhavan 12:04, 22 April 2006 (UTC)Reply
Even i will talk to Jathu, let us create articles for good movies instead of masala movies like Thirupathi, Jana, Sivakasi, and Aathi. Either we can go creating classic movies or movies by shankar, Bala, linguswamy and AR Murugadoss (these people have taken good movies, except one or two flops). The second option would be better, as one editor can take incharge of a director and complete them all.
I want to touch 200 mark on Tamil films in another 3 months, and plan to cover all good directors. I'll let you know the Tamil admins in Wiki. --M.arunprasad 12:12, 22 April 2006 (UTC)Reply
Nice idea, Mudhalvan is the only Shankar film that hasn't been made, not sure about the others. I'm not sure of his name but a user has nicely created Cheran's older films eg, Bharathi Kannamma. Jathu, looks like an Ajith fan, thats why he has created Villain, Red maybe I'll ask him to create better ones eg. Aasai, Kaadhal Koattai. I'll also do some movies except for Perarasu's ones - really those are stuff I don't like. We've set ourselves a goal, now lets reach it! :) R.Madhavan 12:28, 22 April 2006 (UTC)Reply
FYI:User:Sundar is a tamil admin. And i like the spirit and good taste you have, thanks for joinin hands with me. But this is not enough, we have to pull in more editors. I'm starting with Murugadoss. Keep up your good work :-) --M.arunprasad 12:50, 22 April 2006 (UTC)Reply

Tamil Films edit

Hello M.arunprasad, I see you are experienced as you have recieved a barnstar. I would like to help you on your quest to create 200 films, I have currently made 12 films out of a possible 80. So I believe I can do more. If you can give me titles of films you want me to concentrate on, it would be easy for me.

I see that you are working on Murugadoss. I was doing some research on him and I have got valuable infomation, if you want i can send it to you. I see that you like more classical films, if you can be more specific I could start these.

Please take time to look at my user page and my aims. Jathu 16:04, 22 April 2006 (UTC)Reply

Hi Jathu, thanks for your help and joining me in my quest. I haven't not started on Murugadoss and his films, but as you say you have more info collected about him and his movies. I feel you can create them better than me and anyone. So go ahead with his article and his movies. I'll start with some other director. Keep up your good work :-) --M.arunprasad 03:45, 24 April 2006 (UTC)Reply

Image Tagging Image:Vadivelu.jpg edit

This media may be deleted.

Thanks for uploading Image:Vadivelu.jpg. I notice the 'image' page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this media yourself then there needs to be an argument why we have the right to use the media on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the media yourself then it needs to be specified where it was found, i.e., in most cases link to the website where it was taken from, and the terms of use for content from that page.

If the media also doesn't have a copyright tag then one should be added. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media qualifies as fair use, consider reading fair use, and then use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other media, consider checking that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. VandalProof 1.2 Now Available edit

After a lenghty, but much-needed Wikibreak, I'm happy to announce that version 1.2 of VandalProof is now available for download! Beyond fixing some of the most obnoxious bugs, like the persistent crash on start-up that many have experienced, version 1.2 also offers a wide variety of new features, including a stub-sorter, a global user whitelist and blacklist, navigational controls, and greater customization. You can find a full list of the new features here. While I believe this release to be a significant improvement over the last, it's nonetheless nowhere near the end of the line for VandalProof. Thanks to Rob Church, I now have an account on test.wikipedia.org with SysOp rights and have already been hard at work incorporating administrative tools into VandalProof, which I plan to make available in the near future. An example of one such SysOp tool that I'm working on incorporating is my simple history merge tool, which simplifies the process of performing history merges from one article into another. Anyway, if you haven't already, I'd encourage you to download and install version 1.2 and take it out for a test-drive. As always, your suggestions for improvement are always appreciated, and I hope that you will find this new version useful. Happy editing! --AmiDaniel (talk) 02:52, 21 May 2006 (UTC)Reply

Image Tagging Image:Raadhika.jpg edit

This media may be deleted.

Thanks for uploading Image:Raadhika.jpg.
