Hello, LydiaGold, and welcome to Wikipedia! My name is Ian and I work with the Wiki Education Foundation; I help support students who are editing as part of a class assignment.

I hope you enjoy editing here. If you haven't already done so, please complete the student training, which introduces you to editing and Wikipedia's core principles. Speedy deletion nomination of Fishkill Farms

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Fishkill Farms requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator.   Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but you removed a speedy deletion tag from a page you have created yourself. If you believe the page should not be deleted, you may contest the deletion by clicking on the button that says: Contest this speedy deletion which appears inside the speedy deletion notice. This will allow you to make your case on the article's talk page. Administrators will consider your reasoning before deciding what to do with the page. Thank you. Your sandboxes

edit

You moved one of your pages to User:Lydia Gold/sandbox, with a space after "Lydia", where it got flagged for deletion because there is no user account of that name. As you already had a sandbox, I have moved it to User:LydiaGold/sandbox2. If you have finished with any of these sandboxes, you can put {{db-user}} at the top (two curly brackets each side) to request deletion. Regards, JohnCD (talk) 11:18, 15 October 2015 (UTC)Reply

Unconstructive Edits

edit

Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia. Your edits appear to constitute vandalism and have been reverted or removed. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Repeated vandalism can result in the loss of editing privileges. Thank you.CFredkin (talk) 17:42, 2 November 2015 (UTC)Reply

The sources for the content you're adding are not WP:reliable.CFredkin (talk) 17:58, 2 November 2015 (UTC)Reply

You need to wait until a reliable source says something more than 'anonymous says they are in the klan'. AlexiusHoratius 18:07, 2 November 2015 (UTC)Reply
CFred and Alexius are correct - we can't say that they are members of the KKK. We could say that they were named in the Anonymous leak, but even that needs to be approached with great care, since these are living people and thus, subject to the WP:BLP rules. Join in on the articles' talk pages, see if you can help craft the precise wording - but bear in mind that there's an awful lot of uncertainty about this (necessarily, since it comes from Anonymous, which has no formal spokespersons and no documented fact-checking process). It will sort itself out in time, but right now, too much is uncertain or unknown. Ian (Wiki Ed) (talk) 19:22, 2 November 2015 (UTC)Reply

3RR Warning

edit

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Thom Tillis‎. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Please be particularly aware that Wikipedia's policy on edit warring states:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made.
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes; work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. - Cwobeel (talk) 18:11, 2 November 2015 (UTC)Reply
