Marhaba, you're more than welcome to make constructive edits. Since Turkish is your first language, you might also be interested in editing the Turkish Wikipedia if you have not been doing so already. -Falastine fee Qalby (talk) 23:25, 20 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

Google translate gave me this translation: rotadan adil bir miktar. Not sure if it is right. In the article, it probably means there is a lot choices/freedom that you have with attachments. Meaning you can place the attachments on any of the weapons even though it would not make sense. -Falastine fee Qalby (talk) 05:09, 15 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

You're welcome. It is not an idiom, but it is a commonly used phrase.-Falastine fee Qalby (talk) 18:39, 15 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

Help with English phrases

edit

Merhaba. If you need an explanation of English phrases in Wikipedia articles, then probably the best place to ask is the Wikipedia language reference desk. Please read the instructions before asking a question. You should make it clear in your question that your understanding of English is limited, so that the explanation should be given in simple language. "A fair amount of leeway" literally means something like oldukça fazla kımıldanacak yer, but in the article Crysis this is not meant in a literal sense; it means more like oldukça fazla serbestlik. "A. A. Griffith also deserves priority credit" means something like A. A. Griffith de öncelik şerefini hak ediyor.  --Lambiam 14:10, 10 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

Sen İstanbullusun, değil mi? At home my parents did not speak Turkish, and I have lived most of my life outside Turkey, so my Turkish is far from perfect. I still spend about as much time travelling as at home and have little opportunity to practise.  --Lambiam 19:27, 10 August 2009 (UTC)Reply
P.S. I see you live in Ankara, but at the moment you are in Istanbul, no?  --Lambiam 19:33, 10 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

İstersen Türkçe konuşalım. Ama lütfen unutma ki Vikipedi bir tartışma platformu değil. Burada ansiklopedi oluşturmaya çalışıyoruz.  --Lambiam 10:42, 13 August 2009 (UTC)Reply
