Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to Alain LeRoy Locke may have broken the syntax by modifying 1 "{}"s. If you have, don't worry: just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

List of unpaired brackets remaining on the page:
  • there is a note in Locke's handwriting that reads: 'Alain Leroy Locke[:] Alan registered as Arthur (white Phila Vital Statistics owing prejudice of Quaker physician Isaac Smedley to answering
  • small funerary urn. They were locked in a safe to keep them secure.<ref name=congressionalburial />{

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, BracketBot (talk) 18:56, 13 September 2014 (UTC)

Template editor

Hi Luis. TemplateData can simply be added to the documentation subpage, so you shouldn't need this user right. Alakzi (talk) 15:03, 8 April 2015 (UTC)

@Alakzi: Indeed. More proof I shouldn't have the right. ;) Thanks! —Luis (talk) 15:12, 8 April 2015 (UTC)

{{Cite wikisource}} line break added

I'm not sure where in the new code it got added, but there is now a forced line break being added after the template, which is adding a paragraph tag when in lists (due to the wiki), but also for example, Anaximander, where it's doing more than that. The Haz talk 01:08, 20 April 2015 (UTC)

Example 1

  • Text before
  • Bloggs, Joe (1974). Book of Bloggs  – via Wikisource.
  • Text after

Example 2

@Hazmat2: I see one stray whitespace in the edits I made; I tried to fix it here. But I did a purge on Anaximander and it doesn't seem to be helping the problem. Literally everything else in there is wrapped in a noinclude. I'll try moving the templatedata to the documentation to see if that helps, but I suspect it may be happening because of something in one of the templates this one inherits from? :/—Luis (talk) 01:29, 20 April 2015 (UTC)
You had a newline between the two <noinclude>s, which is what was causing it. Removing the TempateData did fix it because it entailed removing the second <noinclude> - TemplateData itself wasn't the cause of it. Alakzi (talk) 01:47, 20 April 2015 (UTC)
@Alakzi: Never mind, just re-read and now I get what you mean. It wasn't showing up as fixed here (note that I did two separate edits, one just to remove the whitespace and the other then to remove everything when that didn't appear to work). And I'd done action=purge to force a purge of Anaximander; was there something more I should have done? —Luis (talk) 01:55, 20 April 2015 (UTC)
I don't know why purge might've not worked, but a WP:NULLEDIT fixed it. Alakzi (talk) 01:58, 20 April 2015 (UTC)
@Alakzi: Great! Thank you. I completely missed that myself. I've found a hard purge (with forcerecursivelinkupdate) to work better with widely used templates than a simple purge. The Haz talk 02:16, 20 April 2015 (UTC)

Hi Luis. I started the article without realizing that you already have some material in the sandbox, and only after a day traced the sandbox using the backlinks mechanism. I am sorry for this overlap, and you are obviously cordially welcome to contribute to the article. I still need to add a couple of things, mostly related to the decorations, and I am going to do this later today, but then I am out of sources.--Ymblanter (talk) 12:42, 28 January 2016 (UTC)

@Ymblanter: No worries! I did not have much time this week to work on it, so glad someone did! —Luis (talk) 15:37, 1 February 2016 (UTC)

Thanks

Thank you for your response. Simonvan2015 (talk) 03:14, 4 February 2016 (UTC)
