Evaluate the drafted changes[edit]

edit

The lead: Great lead with concise yet informative writing.

Early Life and Education: Great information about her accomplishments while in college. Also great information about her masters and PhD and distinctions. I would see if there's any information about her early childhood/family life or what she did in high school that might be notable to her career formation.

Career: Excellent writing that is non-biased with many sources. I would make an edit that 501(c)(3) is written with parentheses around c and 3. Also, add the Oxford comma at the end of the first paragraph for English, language arts, and reading (plus fix capitalization of the subjects, only English is capitalized). I would put the sentence about her tenure track with another paragraph instead of it standing alone. Maybe add a transition sentence or word so it flows better with that stand alone sentence. I would also clarify the dates for her tenure at Tulane University (the fact that it started in 2005 and is ongoing-- the flow is a little weird from "In 2005..." to "Lewis is a tenured professor..." For the 2016 election, make the distinction between for the general/primary election for the seat when discussing the percentages of the votes. Under 2020 Election, split up the sentences in the first paragraph so it's not just two really long sentences. Again, for 40th Judicial District Court make sure the first sentence flows with the rest of the section.

Recognition is good as well. Maybe add her distinctions from college and education, not sure.

Personal Life: see if you can find anything else about her personal life (e.g. if she volunteers with any organizations, what she does in her free time other than Mardi Gras)

Suggestion - I would maybe combine Published Article and Published Books into a section just "Published Works" with subheadings Published article / books

See Also should be titled References

Overall Impression: I think this is a great draft. I would add sections about political climate and her impact separate from her career and judicial seats. You can repeat information from them in the Political Climate section, but I think it's worth distinguishing as separate. Literally Legally Blonde (talk) 02:00, 9 November 2023 (UTC)Reply
