Hello, I'm Gogo Dodo. I wanted to let you know that I removed one or more external links you added, because they seemed to be inappropriate for an encyclopedia. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page, or take a look at our guidelines about links. Thank you. -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 01:25, 6 November 2013 (UTC)Reply

Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia. Wikipedia is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include, but are not limited to, links to personal websites, links to websites with which you are affiliated, and links that attract visitors to a website or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam guideline for further explanations. Because Wikipedia uses the nofollow attribute value, its external links are disregarded by most search engines. If you feel the link should be added to the page, please discuss it on the associated talk page rather than re-adding it. Thank you. Materialscientist (talk) 01:36, 6 November 2013 (UTC)Reply

Please stop adding inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to LED lamp with this edit. It is considered spamming and Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising or promotion. Because Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, additions of links to Wikipedia will not alter search engine rankings. If you continue spamming, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Thank you. ... discospinster talk 01:47, 6 November 2013 (UTC)Reply

Re: How should I do is correct ?

edit

Re your message: You to immediately stop adding links to LED manufacturers. Wikipedia is not a collection of links to suppliers or to be used to advertise. -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 02:02, 6 November 2013 (UTC)Reply

Re your message: There is nothing to "correct" as you need to stop adding in the links. It is obvious from your editing pattern that you are trying to add in spam links to your website. Such links are not appropriate and if you continue add in such links, you will be blocked from editing. -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 05:23, 6 November 2013 (UTC)Reply

Your recent edits

edit

Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:

  1. Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment; or
  2. With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button (  or  ) located above the edit window.

This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 02:27, 6 November 2013 (UTC)Reply

Ofweek

edit

This is an automated message from MadmanBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Ofweek, and it appears to include material copied directly from http://www.crunchbase.com/company/en-ofweek-com.

It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. The article will be reviewed to determine if there are any copyright issues.

If substantial content is duplicated and it is not public domain or available under a compatible license, it will be deleted. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material. You may use such publications as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details. (If you own the copyright to the previously published content and wish to donate it, see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for the procedure.) Speedy deletion nomination of Ofweek

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Ofweek, requesting that it be deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under two or more of the criteria for speedy deletion, by which articles can be deleted at any time, without discussion. If the page meets any of these strictly-defined criteria, then it may be soon be deleted by an administrator. The reasons it has been tagged are:

  • It appears to be a clear copyright infringement. (See section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion.) For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. However, even if you use one of these processes to release copyrighted material to Wikipedia, it still needs to comply with the other policies and guidelines to be eligible for inclusion. If you would like any assistance with this, you can ask a question at the help desk.

  • It appears to be about a person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), individual animal, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. (See section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion.) Such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. — MusikAnimal talk 02:40, 30 December 2013 (UTC)Reply

Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but you removed a speedy deletion tag from Ofweek, a page you have created yourself. If you believe the page should not be deleted, you may contest the deletion by clicking on the button that says: Click here to contest this speedy deletion and appears inside the speedy deletion notice. This will allow you to make your case on the article's talk page. Administrators will consider your reasoning before deciding what to do with the page. Thank you. — MusikAnimal talk 02:45, 30 December 2013 (UTC)Reply

Hello, LucySofia. We welcome your contributions to Wikipedia, but if you are affiliated with some of the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest or close connection to the subject.

All editors are required to comply with Wikipedia's neutral point of view content policy. People who are very close to a subject often have a distorted view of it, which may cause them to inadvertently edit in ways that make the article either too flattering or too disparaging. People with a close connection to a subject are not absolutely prohibited from editing about that subject, but they need to be especially careful about ensuring their edits are verified by reliable sources and writing with as little bias as possible.

If you are very close to a subject, here are some ways you can reduce the risk of problems:

  • Avoid or exercise great caution when editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with.
  • Be cautious about deletion discussions. Everyone is welcome to provide information about independent sources in deletion discussions, but avoid advocating for deletion of articles about your competitors.
  • Avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam).
  • Exercise great caution so that you do not accidentally breach Wikipedia's content policies.

Please familiarize yourself with relevant content policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies.

For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have a conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for organizations. Thank you. — MusikAnimal talk 02:48, 30 December 2013 (UTC)Reply

Ofweek

edit

Hey there, allow me to clarify things for you. I'm sorry if this is a little confusing. Even employees or representatives of an organization may not copy and paste copyright-protected text from the organization's resources into Wikipedia, see WP:COPYPASTE. However, license owners may donate their texts to Wikipedia.

The real problem, however, is that Ofweek may not meet our notability guideline on organizations and companies. Take a look at WP:42, which says in brief what we need to see for an article to be retained, as unfortunately, not everything can be on Wikipedia.

Let's just let the article be deleted for now. Then we can make a draft using the article wizard and make sure it's ready for mainspace so it won't get deleted again. The #1 thing to stop that is to reword everything, make it not sound like an advertisement, and find reliable sources independent of the subject to support that this organization meets our notability guideline. Learn more at WP:YFA. Hope this helps :) — MusikAnimal talk 03:19, 30 December 2013 (UTC)Reply

Please stop removing speedy deletion notices from pages that you have created yourself, as you did with this edit to Ofweek. If you continue to do so, you will be blocked from editing. Jim1138 (talk) 03:36, 30 December 2013 (UTC)Reply

Both articles about Ofweek were copied and pasted from their website. This is a severe violation of copyright law. If you do that a third time, I will block you from editing. — Malik Shabazz Talk/Stalk 01:50, 31 December 2013 (UTC)Reply
