Fair use rationale for Image:Dc Talk Solo.jpg

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Dc Talk Solo.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Duplicate images uploaded

Thanks for uploading Image:Dc talk solo.jpg. A machine-controlled robot account noticed that you also uploaded the same image under the name Image:103025.jpg. The copy called Image:103025.jpg has been marked for speedy deletion since it is redundant. If this sounds okay to you, there is no need for you to take any action.

In the future, you may save yourself some confusion if you supply a meaningful file name and refer to 'my contributions' to remind yourself exactly which name you chose (file names are case sensitive, including the extension) so that you won't lose track of your uploads. You'll need to support the genres with reliable, and ideally secondary sources. I know a lot of bands think their creating one genre and experts do not agree with them. Walter Görlitz (talk) 22:34, 12 June 2014 (UTC)

One more thing, when someone adds a maintenance template such as {{Citation needed}} and you remove it without providing a reference, it's considered disruptive editing at the very least and a strike in a four-strike process that can find you prevented from editing for some time. You're already at one strike as listed above. If another editor were to check in on the activity on that article, you could earn yourself a second. I won't tag you for it though. You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. ArbCom 2018 election voter message

Hello, Lucius funk. Voting in the 2018 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23.59 on Sunday, 3 December. All users who registered an account before Sunday, 28 October 2018, made at least 150 mainspace edits before Thursday, 1 November 2018 and are not currently blocked are eligible to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.
