Proposed deletion of Livvy Avery

edit

The article Livvy Avery has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Non-notable author. References do not provide any indication that any works have actually been published. Claimed prize (Bendott/Cheney Literary Prize) cannot be found in Google, nor can any references to this author.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the Proposed Deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The Speedy Deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and Articles for Deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. References

edit

I have deleted the references at Livvy Avery as only one of the listed references even mentioned the author's name, and that was a Blog created today which reviews Eggs of the World and two other books. Of the three, only Eggs of the World appears to be a phantom book (i.e. I can find NO references to the book or its author at any website). In general, blogs are not considered reliable sources. As for the other references, it is unclear what purpose they serve as none of the listed sites have any mention of Avery. (One reference was to a site about hydroponic gardening!!) A skeptical editor might think you were peppering your article with bogus references to make it look more legitimate. WikiDan61ChatMe!ReadMe!! 18:16, 22 October 2009 (UTC)Reply

The article is either a hoax or else wishful thinking. Please don't create such articles. Fences&Windows 03:28, 29 October 2009 (UTC)Reply
