Pseudo amino acid composition

edit

Welcome to Wikipedia. If you are affiliated with some of the people, places or things you have written about in the article Pseudo amino acid composition, you may have a conflict of interest. In keeping with Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy, edits where there is a conflict of interest, or where such a conflict might reasonably be inferred, are strongly discouraged. If you have a conflict of interest, you should avoid or exercise great caution when:

  1. editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with;
  2. participating in deletion discussions about articles related to your organization or its competitors; and
  3. linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam).

Please familiarize yourself with relevant policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies.

Citations

edit

Hi. I thanks for your contributions.

In case you haven't already seen this, please check out the template filler tool. Given a PMID, you can quickly create a fully formatted {{cite journal}} template that can be directly copied and pasted into a Wikipedia article. Depending on how you are currently inserting citations, this tool might save you a lot of work. In addition, using this too insures citations are displayed in a consistent manor. Cheers. Recent edits

edit

Hi. I am becoming concerned about some of your recent edits where you have inserted information about low-frequency collective motion in proteins and DNA and added citations to KC Chou. There are two problems with this. First, in many of the articles to which you have contributed to, low-frequency motions are at best a minor aspect of the main topic of the article. When the structure has not even been discussed yet, discussion of low-frequency motions seems very out of place. The emphasis should be on what low-frequency motions say about the function of the molecule, not what the molecule says about low-frequency motions. For example, in the calmodulin, I have edited your contribution to summarize what the work says about the function of calmodulin. Second, most of the citations that you have added are to KC Chou. If you have any connection to KC Chou, adding citations to KC Chou represents a conflict of interest. Please note that excessive self-citation is strongly discouraged. Thank you.   This is the final warning you will receive regarding your disruptive edits. If you vandalize Wikipedia again, as you did at Graph theory, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. You have not seen fit to respond to the polite messages above. Now it's getting serious! Favonian (talk) 18:33, 22 August 2010 (UTC)Reply

Hey, Internal. This is not a vandalism edit, but Boghog and others have a point. Here is what you should do. Graph theory is indeed widely used in enzymatic kinetics. You should focus on the scientific subjects and source them to multiple sources (there is nothing wrong to also quote Dr. Chou who is well known in his field; I am personally familiar with his publications since he worked with Dr. Harold Scheraga). For example, start an article Graph theory in enzymatic kinetics and explain what this is all about. But remember about WP:NPOV and describe contributions by others (in particular by Evgeny Sel'kov). Then, everything will be resolved.Biophys (talk) 23:01, 22 August 2010 (UTC)Reply

Hi. When you recently edited Chou's pseudo amino acid composition, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Attributes, Standalone software and Outer membrane (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Self promotion

edit

Hello, Low-frequency internal. We welcome your contributions to Wikipedia, but if you are affiliated with some of the people, places or things you have written about in the article Chou's pseudo amino acid composition, you may have a conflict of interest or close connection to the subject.

All editors are required to comply with Wikipedia's neutral point of view content policy. People who are very close to a subject often have a distorted view of it, which may cause them to inadvertently edit in ways that make the article either too flattering or too disparaging. People with a close connection to a subject are not absolutely prohibited from editing about that subject, but they need to be especially careful about ensuring their edits are verified by reliable sources and writing with as little bias as possible.

If you are very close to a subject, here are some ways you can reduce the risk of problems:

  • Avoid or exercise great caution when editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with.
  • Be cautious about deletion discussions. Everyone is welcome to provide information about independent sources in deletion discussions, but avoid advocating for deletion of articles about your competitors.
  • Avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam).
  • Exercise great caution so that you do not accidentally breach Wikipedia's content policies.

Please familiarize yourself with relevant content policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies.

For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have a conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for organizations. Thank you. Boghog (talk) 21:53, 29 June 2012 (UTC)Reply

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Chou’s distorted key theory for peptide drugs, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Microenvironment (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Speedy deletion nomination of Gordon Life Science Institute

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Gordon Life Science Institute requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from http://www.scirp.org/kcchou/GordonLifeScience.html. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Adem20talk 13:58, 12 May 2017 (UTC)Reply

A tag has been placed on Gordon Life Science Institute requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia.
