Your only contribution to Wikipedia appears to be handing out the Barnstar, which is "given to recognize particularly fine contributions to Wikipedia, to let people know that their hard work is seen and appreciated". Without wanting to refute the appropriateness of a Barnstar for the numerous recipients, don't you see this as somewhat inappropriate? --Fasten 18:47, 1 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

Well it's the only form of 'true appreciation' I've ever gotten around here which has certainly motivated me to go on, so I strongly disagree; it is very appropriate and in fact much-needed. I have always assumed this was a Wikipedia-backed 'Loveandkindness'-project, but I should have known better. Wikipedia just doesn't get the need for balance between compliments and crticism, and that's what I think chases most new users away (their statistics show). So Loveandkindness, I hope you ever read this, as I want you to know: thank you for the encouragement, I feel fortunate that you've encouraged me. It has done me real good! --Eddyspeeder (talk) 08:21, 9 June 2011 (UTC)Reply
