Autobiographies

edit

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. We appreciate your contributions; however, it appears you may have written a Wikipedia article about yourself, at Draft:Lou McDonald. Creating an autobiography is strongly discouraged – please see our guideline on writing autobiographies. If you create such an article, it may be deleted. If what you have done in life is genuinely notable and can be verified according to our policy for articles about living people, someone else will probably create an article about you sooner or later (see Wikipedians with articles). If you wish to add to or change an existing article about yourself, you are welcome to propose the changes by visiting the article's talk page. Please understand that this is an encyclopedia and not a personal web space or social networking site. If your article has already been deleted, please see: Why was the page I created deleted?, and if you feel the deletion was an error, please discuss this with the deleting administrator. Thank you. --Hammersoft (talk) 01:31, 21 October 2020 (UTC)Reply

Deletion discussion about Glenn Hurst

edit

Hello, LouisNMcDonald, and welcome to Wikipedia. I edit here too, under the username Meatsgains, and I thank you for your contributions.

I wanted to let you know, however, that I've started a discussion about whether an article that you created, Glenn Hurst, should be deleted, as I am not sure that it is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia in its current form. Your comments are welcome at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Glenn Hurst.

You might like to note that such discussions usually run for seven days and are not ballot-polls. And, our guide about effectively contributing to such discussions is worth a read. Last but not least, you are highly encouraged to continue improving the article; just be sure not to remove the tag about the deletion nomination from the top.

If you have any questions, please leave a comment here and prepend it with {{Re|Meatsgains}}. And, don't forget to sign your reply with ~~~~ . Thanks!

I am an activist in Iowa and think the public discourse would be increased if information about political leaders were easily accessible on here. LouisNMcDonald (talk) 22:56, 29 December 2021 (UTC)Reply

I was blocked for added a US Senate candiate to this page. But, why do other city council memebers get a page when Glenn Hurst is also on a city council in Iowa?

What other accounts? I only have one. LouisNMcDonald (talk) 22:57, 29 December 2021 (UTC)Reply

Sanity0050 is technically indistinguishable from you (same IP address and browser) and appears to be editing only to support you - it's possible you asked someone down the hall to edit on your behalf, but the point is that you are either working together so closely as to be indistinguishable or are the same person, both of which are treated as sockpuppetry. Aaafram also appears to be editing exclusively in your favor and appears to be a meatpuppet. GeneralNotability (talk) 23:52, 29 December 2021 (UTC)Reply
