Disruptive Editing

You do, indeed, have the power to warn disruptive editors if you feel it is appropriate - anyone can do this. To do so, you simply need to visit their Talk page and add a relevant warning. This is usually done by typing {{subst:uw-vandalism1}}, which expands to the full text of a default vandalism warning when you save the edit. Replace the '1' with a '2' for a second warning (within a month or so), and so on up to a maximum of 4. Should they continue to vandalise after a fourth warning, you, or anyone else, may report them at WP:AIV by following the instructions on that page, so that any necessary action can be taken. Ann Coulter article

I am curious as to why you keep removing my section from the talk page of the Ann Coulter article. Regardless of your opinions, I am not breaking any rules by posting such a section. There happens to be a lot of sources that talk about the racist and insulting things this woman has said. This is a fact. I posted a legitimate inquiry on that talk page to create discussion that deals with the article. I'd appreciate if you explained your actions and NOT remove the section I created. If you know anything about wikipedia rules you cannot just remove someone's comment on a talk page if you don't like it, unless it violates some rule, which I am not doing. 76.114.42.231 (talk) 09:03, 23 April 2010 (UTC)

You are citing that rule wrong. I know the rule but it say NOTHING about expressing an opinion on a talk page, nor does any wikipedia rule. For your information, please read WP:TPO. You are in direct violation of it and I ask you to cease and desist your actions. Even if I was breaking a rule, you cannot remove people's comments on a talk page unless it fits within a STRICT guideline, which my comments do not. I recommend remembering this rule for future use. You can't just go around removing people's comments. Thanks for uploading File:USSAeolus.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, we also need to know the terms of the license that the copyright holder has published the file under, usually done by adding a licensing tag. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Unsourced and untagged files may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

• make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
• Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-enwikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here.

Is it weird venturing out of your little hellhole echo chamber? I imagine it must be very frustrating to someone who is used to the moderation on FR to have to actually deal with competing viewpoints, considering the inability of said viewpoints to actually stand up to any sort of assessment of coherence or logic. Anyway, I hope something from the real world sinks into your brain and that you might think twice about the ridiculous and abhorrent views that the vast majority of the people on the cesspool that is FreeRepublic hold. If not, whatever. I find it interesting and a little bit sad that your user page is dedicated to a ridiculously large amount of frivolous and self-aggrandizing history, but I don't find it at all surprising. Every person I've ever seen who frequents the haunts that you do has a vast over-estimation of the importance of themselves and their fringe, marginalized little thoughts. Cheers, and happy editing!

License tagging for File:AHP AgeTryVerdana.png

Thanks for uploading File:AHP AgeTryVerdana.png. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.
