Hi there, I feel blessed to possibly make a biography; however I am learning, I do hope that I will be able to contribute to this community, I did not realize that this computer language is a literal real time and will attempt to do the best that I can, whether it be an article biography or writing for someone else, this is a great thing; however I can not do it alone, as everyone needs help, I do hope to contribute in some form, the rules or guidelines are set there for a reason, it is kind of sobering, just like the human race, we are created to be like Christ, someone might have an argument, not everyone agrees on every little thought. The guidelines are nice, this tells me that we all are equal in a way, I can understand that there could certain persons who might try and take advantage of advancing their own agenda. I don't really know if I have an agenda, what I do know is that I can not hurry making an article whether it be about myself or another person or thing. We are all humans and we all make mistakes. I do not mean to harm or insult anyone, that would be unproductive. I do not know why I chose this artist name, that is a very good question, I do have the desire for people to read and interested in what I write. I feel that this is not ultimately going to be all about a band, but this will ultimately be an article(s) about bringing folk closer to God, in the artist name, I will needs lots of help explaining the ins and outs of this name. I understand that something minor can set off a chain reaction if I were to write something as it was meant to be written as a permanent source of information, when I first heard of wiki or wikipedia as I think of them as the same but I am uncertain if this is the truth that wiki and wikipedia are the same. There are some who have labeled wikipedia as a false source of information, what I understand is that I am writing for wikipedia right now, so I writing what I do know, not one person alive is perfect to my knowledge, the one person that is perfect is God, I may not be a perfect theologian, but I strive to be the best string muscian. I am hoping that I can get help with this article as this will most likely be an ongoing article that I will be able to write as a life song.

Lost in God band biography edit

I am trying to make a biography, but I am new to creating articles, I think this is fun, but I do not understand all the rules, I will try my best to go by the guidelines, I did writing classes, is there any suggestions on the format, mla, I did many religious papers, it is tough, sometimes a headache rewriting a paper that I thought looked good, then having the professors say it always needed work when it was nearly perfect, I think a paper can always use revisions, but there is a matter of taste and style that certain papers get without going by a certain standard; however at the same token when a paper is written in proper form, it is done right, so it goes both ways. The article has been deleted multiple times by now because it gave no indication that the artist meets Wikipedia's standards of notability. It cited no reliable sources such as newspapers or music magazines that discuss Lost in God in some detail. Without such sources we cannot have an article. You may also want to read our guideline on conflicts of interest. Huon (talk) 10:50, 4 July 2015 (UTC)Reply

Hi Jersey92 and Huon, I am not for sure where to start practicing referencing and putting in the citation notation, but I thought this would be a good start. I am going to begin in numerical order to if I am starting understand how to put a reference from 1-5, now I am going to try and put this into practice, I think when someone starts something with no real time knowledge, it is always good to start somewhere for benefit of not only myself, but for all other wikipedians new and old alike.<ref><ref><ref><ref><ref><\ref> now let's see if this is written just as ref 1 on all of them or ref 1-5. ~~~~ Okay, I am going to try attemt this from the top paragraph as shown above. <ref><\ref>. Okay, I am going to attempt 2-5 now. <ref><\ref><ref><\ref><ref><\ref><ref><\ref>. ~~~~ Okay this is just by typing in ref and \ref, <ref><\ref><ref><\ref><ref><\ref>. I know this might be weird to some, but when you have no manual or are learning yourself, it is sometimes difficult and if you communicate to the team, the team knows how to fix a mistake. ~~~~

Each <ref> tag must be accompanied by a </ref> tag that ends the footnote. For example, <ref>This is a footnote!</ref> will look like this:[1] If there are mismatched <ref> tags, then everything afterwards will be interpreted as part of one big never-ending footnote, and not displayed properly. That's what happened to your texts. The numbering of footnotes is done automatically. That allows editors to insert new footnotes between existing ones without getting the numbering out of order. You may also want to check out WP:Referencing for beginners; the videos at that page explain how to easily create nicely-formatted footnotes without bothering with the code. If you want to re-use a reference multiple times, WP:Referencing for beginners explains how to do that, too. Huon (talk) 22:51, 7 July 2015 (UTC)Reply

References

  1. ^ This is a footnote!

Thank you will try to read this. LostinGod (talk) 02:16, 13 July 2015 (UTC)Reply

All these new terms are sometimes confusing, I am going to try and put a citation at a later time, to where I can cite the above information you wrote on how to be directed for a referencing link short cut. WP:Referencing for beginners I will try to write a citation for this soon. LostinGod (talk) 02:25, 13 July 2015 (UTC)Reply

References

I am bit still confused on citations, it is good to have the shortcut link WP:Referencing for beginners This citation credited help by Huon in User talk: Lost in God

The next step(s) are to figure how to make a second citation after the first one is complete, then whether to use a certain type of reference guideline, I will try to research what is the best known reference to my knowledge because there are some who use different referencing styles, this would be great to have a list of different styles such as MLA or Turabian, because it would be a difficult task in knowing every single style of writing, that is not fair to the editors as a whole

August 2015 edit

Thank you for your recent contributions. Getting started creating new articles on Wikipedia can be tricky, and you might like to try creating a draft version first, which you can then ask for feedback on if necessary, with less risk of deletion. Do make sure you also read help available to you, including Your First Article and the Tutorial. You might also like to try the Article Wizard, which has an option to create a draft version. Thank you. 220 of Borg 16:27, 12 August 2015 (UTC)Reply

I have, I hope fixed a wiki 'syntax' problem with this page as the 'draft' template message I put here was not appearing. (Click here) Your 'spiel' at the top of this page may be better placed on your wp:Userpage, but you can leave it above if wish. Your username suggests a possible WP:COI, so I'll post another message about that. 220 of Borg 16:39, 12 August 2015 (UTC)Reply
I personally suggest to new editors that before you try starting a a new page, that you spend some time editing existing pages that may be of interest, to get experience and become familiar with Wikipedia (WP) practises. Your edit to the Blog, page here, for example is un-sourced (and somewhat speculative). Though it may well be true, reliable sources are required per WP:Verifiability. 220 of Borg 16:49, 12 August 2015 (UTC)Reply

Managing a conflict of interest edit

Hello, LostinGod. We welcome your contributions to Wikipedia, but if you have an external relationship with some of the people, places or things you have written about in the article Lost in God, you may have a conflict of interest or close connection to the subject.

All editors are required to comply with Wikipedia's neutral point of view content policy. If you are very close to a subject, here are some ways you can reduce the risk of problems:

  • Avoid or exercise great caution when editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with.
  • Avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam).
  • Exercise great caution so that you do not accidentally breach Wikipedia's content policies.

Please familiarize yourself with relevant content policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies. Note that Wikipedia's terms of use require disclosure of your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation.
