Welcome edit

Hello, Lopeztonight, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of your edits to the page Burlesque (soundtrack) have not conformed to Wikipedia's verifiability policy, and may be removed if they have not yet been. Wikipedia articles should refer only to facts and interpretations that have been stated in print or on reputable websites or other forms of media. Always remember to provide a reliable source for quotations and for any material that is likely to be challenged, or it may be removed. Wikipedia also has a related policy against including original research in articles. As well, all new biographies of living people must contain at least one reliable source.

If you are stuck and looking for help, please see the guide for citing sources or come to the new contributors' help page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, you can just type {{helpme}} on your user page, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Here are a few other good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. Britney Spears discography edit

Hi, I hope you are doing well. I'm writing to let you know you can not use britney.com or artist's official website for sales source because they are not third party sources and are most likely for promotional use. Please don't add them to any page. Thank you and have a good day. OK? --GenieOFbritney (talk) 13:54, 7 February 2011 (UTC)Reply

Here are the rules. Britney.com can not be used, sadly. And just so you know, britneyspears.com, which is her real website and said the sales of her first two albums were 25 and 20 million, respectively, can not be used either.

Here you can see self-published biographies can not be used:

I never wanted to argue. I'm just telling you what I was told. You can see that in my talk page they told me this... --GenieOFbritney (talk) 15:44, 7 February 2011 (UTC)Reply

March 2011 edit

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, adding or significantly changing content without citing a reliable source, as you did with this edit to Christina Aguilera discography, is not consistent with our policy of verifiability. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. If you are familiar with Wikipedia:Citing sources, please take this opportunity to add references to the article. Diannaa (Talk) 02:38, 17 March 2011 (UTC)Reply

Welcome to Wikipedia, and thank you for your contributions. One of the core policies of Wikipedia is that articles should always be written from a neutral point of view. A contribution you made to Goodbye Lullaby appears to carry a non-neutral point of view, and your edit may have been changed or reverted to correct the problem. Please remember to observe this important core policy. Thank you. Yves (talk) 19:18, 21 March 2011 (UTC)Reply

removal of sourced content with no explanation edit

Please do not remove content or templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to Christina Aguilera discography, without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your content removal does not appear constructive, and has been reverted. Please make use of the sandbox if you'd like to experiment with test edits. Thank you. - eo (talk) 15:20, 28 March 2011 (UTC)Reply

Blocked edit

I have blocked you indefinitely. You may appeal this block by placing {{unblock|Your reason here}} below this message, and I am happy for any admin to lift this block if you can assure them that you will start adhering to Wikipedia's policies. Before that, please read the following to understand why I've felt this action necessary:

  1. Edit warring: You have consistently failed to use discussion when in a content dispute, instead repeatedly reverting to force your preferred version, across multiple pages, the reason for one of your previous blocks.
  2. Personal attacks: You don't need to have read all of Wikipedia's policies to know that calling other editors "pathetic", and accusing them of vandalism is not acceptable behaviour—you wouldn't behave like that if you were working on a project face to face, and it's no more acceptable here.
  3. Verifiability/reliability of sources: During these content disputes, you have changed statistics without providing sources, or to contradict the cited sources, and have added obviously unreliable sources such as performers' websites/fansites.

All this leads me to the conclusion that you have shown yourself to be incapable of editing in a collaborative environment such as this. I think you need to start again, and start by reading the Five Pillars of Wikipedia and linked documents. Once you have done that, if you think you can abide by those policies, you can request unblock. Any administrator may unblock you if you can assure them that you understand, and will abide by, those policies. HJ Mitchell | Penny for your thoughts? 15:20, 1 August 2011 (UTC)Reply
