Speedy deletion nomination of Mr. Wood's Social Studies Class edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. This is a notice that the page that you created was tagged as a test page and has been or soon may be deleted. Please use the sandbox for any other tests you want to do. Take a look at the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing to our encyclopedia.

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you.   — Jeff G. ツ (talk) 01:25, 11 October 2012 (UTC)Reply

Unfortunately, the page doesn't belong where it is now. Since it looks like you're doing something productive with it, I've moved it to User:Londonfootball2000/Mr. Wood's Social Studies Class; here your students can use it just as they could before, but this way it won't be findable by someone who's just looking for an encyclopedia article on the topics your students are discussing. You and they are free to create a new Wikipedia article or articles, and the same is true of expanding existing articles, but such additions should go to the page in question, not to an article entitled "Mr. Wood's Social Studies Class". If you have any questions, feel free to come to my talk page and ask me what you want to know. Nyttend (talk) 01:36, 11 October 2012 (UTC)Reply
I have to respectfully disagree with User:Nyttend; I don't believe this material should be posted in Wikipedia because it isn't related to the business of creating an encyclopedia. I believe the guiding principle is found here; Wikipedia is not your web host, and you should pay for the bandwidth required to communicate with your students on your own. If you agree with me, you can ask an administrator to delete the page by enclosing the phrase db-userreq in double curly brackets on each side (it stands for "delete by user's request"). If not, I expect I'll post it for discussion at a page called "Miscellany for deletion" after giving you some time to think this over. If you have any questions, feel free to leave me a note.
