DSM-5?

edit

Hi Lmciszak, http://dsm.psychiatryonline.org//content.aspx?bookid=556&sectionid=41101783 might be worth a look to see what DSM5 is saying about dementia. Emwhitaker (talk) 20:46, 2 April 2014 (UTC)Reply

Hi Fellow UCSF Wikipedian

edit

Hey, I'm one of the students who took the course last time it was offered. Just wanted to offer any support/help I could provide. Feel free to message me on my talk page or it shouldn't be too hard to figure out my UCSF email. Emhawkins (talk) 20:12, 10 April 2014 (UTC)Reply

A few issues

edit
  1. We have a recommended ordering of sections at WP:MEDMOS. Thus changing the ordering of sections is against our guidelines.
  2. We do not link terms in our headings
  3. We use very few capitals (it is vascular dementia not Vascular Dementia)
  4. We typically use the term person rather than patient as we are writing for the general population
  5. Please do not create empty headings
  6. We are not a how too guide thus a sentence like "Mild Cognitive Impairment versus Normal Aging: How to Tell the Difference?" is not the correct writing style.
  7. Additionally we write in prose most of the time rather than with lists.

I know this is a lot to take in. Maybe try with some smaller edits. Best Doc James (talk · contribs · email) (if I write on your page reply on mine) 20:22, 18 April 2014 (UTC)Reply

There is still a lot wrong with your additions. We need page numbers for the book you are using. Doc James (talk · contribs · email) (if I write on your page reply on mine) 21:04, 24 April 2014 (UTC)Reply
And the section headings should only have the first word capitalized. Doc James (talk · contribs · email) (if I write on your page reply on mine) 22:27, 24 April 2014 (UTC)Reply

Removing systematic reviews

edit

Why did you remove two systematic reviews in this edit [1]? Doc James (talk · contribs · email) (if I write on your page reply on mine) 22:32, 24 April 2014 (UTC)Reply

But yes Wikipedia does take some time to figure out. Doc James (talk · contribs · email) (if I write on your page reply on mine) 22:37, 24 April 2014 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for fixing the caps. Doc James (talk · contribs · email) (if I write on your page reply on mine) 01:38, 25 April 2014 (UTC)Reply
