Creating pages that duplicate content on other pages

edit

Hi there! I'm glad you're contributing to our encyclopedia. However, I've noticed that you've been creating some pages that are copy/paste duplicates of content on other pages -- such as Maraschino and Maraschino Liqueur. The preferred way to have multiple names for the same content is to use redirects. Wikipedia:Redirect is a how-to page that will explain the process to you so you can contribute these redirects without duplicating content. Thanks! --FreelanceWizard 11:20, 28 July 2006 (UTC)Reply

Ooops!

Well, now I feel just plain silly. For some reason I never saw the other page. DOH!

Hi. Thanks for your work on the article. It's so sad that she passed away so young. But can you tell me what source can support the middle name of "Jo"? I'd like to add it to the article if you have it. Thanks. :-) Nightscream 20:27, 13 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

Coffee

edit

Hi, I undid your recent addition to the Coffee article. It's duplicative to the content already in the etymology section. Best, ROBERTMFROMLI | TK/CN 00:15, 19 May 2011 (UTC)Reply

Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute to the encyclopedia, but when you add or change content, as you did to the article Bradley Cooper, please cite a reliable source for the content of your edit. This helps maintain our policy of verifiability. See Wikipedia:Citing sources for how to cite sources, and the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. I still don't see anything in the link you cited that says where he studied or whether he speaks "fluent" French. Wknight94 talk 12:06, 3 June 2011 (UTC)Reply

However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

ArbCom elections are now open!

edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Non-free rationale for File:FearlessBooks WebLogo.svg

edit

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:FearlessBooks WebLogo.svg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described in section F6 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

ATTENTION: This is an automated, bot-generated message. This bot DID NOT nominate any file(s) for deletion; please refer to the page history of each individual file for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 03:00, 7 April 2018 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Fearless Books

edit

The article Fearless Books has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

No citations, no independent sourcing, no indication whatsoever that this might meet WP:NCORP.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
