Formatting hint edit

Hi there. Good work on the Brynrefail article! Just a quick hint - I just noticed that when you added new text, you were putting it right at the bottom of the page. Most articles finish with a list of categories, and also things like stub templates and for geographical articles a co-ordinates tag. It normally looks something like this

[[Category:Villages in Gwynedd]]

{{Gwynedd-geo-stub}}

{{coor title d|53.14168|N|4.1554|W}}

That part should always stay at the bottom of the page - otherwise it can cause formatting problems for the article. Don't worry - wiki markup can be confusing at first, but you'll get used to it soon. Keep up the good work, and happy editing. Iain99Balderdash and piffle 21:38, 19 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

April 2008 edit

Hi, the recent edit you made to Cwm-y-glo has been reverted, as it appears to be unconstructive. Use the sandbox for testing; if you believe the edit was constructive, ensure that you provide an informative edit summary. You may also wish to read the introduction to editing. Thanks.   Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you recently copied the contents of a page and pasted it into another with a different name. Specifically, you copied the contents of Cwm-y-glo. This is what we call a "cut and paste move", and it is very undesirable because it splits the article's history, which is needed for attribution and is helpful in many other ways. The mechanism we use for renaming an article is to move it to a new name which both preserves the page's history and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. In most cases, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page. If there is an article that you cannot move yourself by this process, follow the instructions at Wikipedia:Requested moves to request the move by another. Also, if there are any other articles that you copied and pasted, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Cut and paste move repair holding pen. Thank you. --Snigbrook (talk) 18:40, 24 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

Archbishop John Williams edit

  The Archbishop John Williams article that you created appears to duplicate the John Williams, Archbishop of York article. Since there are at least two archbishops by that name, Archbishop John Williams has been redirected to John Williams (disambiguation). • Gene93k (talk) 22:46, 28 April 2008 (UTC)Reply
