Toxic waste

To correctly show the citations, they have to be copied into the article from your draft page as wikimarkup eg: <ref>{{Cite web|url=http://www.theworldcounts.com/stories/Hazardous_Waste_Facts#.Vszvb_gnSPs.gmail|title=Hazardous Waste Facts|website=The World Counts|access-date=2016-05-03}}</ref> Open your draft page as if you were about to edit it, and then copy-paste the raw text. Hi Lisa. Your citations will connect directly to the article that you are editing. It is best to add your citations when you are editing the page, not in your sandbox. When editing the page if your press the cite button found at the top it will give you a box to add the link or article name. It will add the reference at the bottom of the page and a number corresponding. But the number will be based on however many citations exist before the one you are adding. Thus, you add your citations on the page itself not your sandbox. Hope this helps! Jonahschatz (talk) 22:20, 6 May 2016 (UTC)

Hi Lisa. I believe this fixes the issue. The problem was that you originally accessed the link through your library's proxy server, which is what lets you access resources not open to the general public. Since the citation generator doesn't have access to your library, it can't create a proper reference. I used the manual option and filled out the fields for Cite book.
