Hello, I'm JesseRafe. I noticed that you recently removed some content from Joe Lhota without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. Why are you rejecting all my changes? They are accurate. Why don't you call me at 646-634-3670 to discuss.

Unfortunately, one or more of your recent edits to the page Joe Lhota have not conformed to Wikipedia's verifiability policy, and has been or will be removed. Wikipedia articles should refer only to facts and interpretations that have been stated in print or on reputable websites or in other media. Always remember to provide a reliable source for quotations and for any material that is likely to be challenged, or it may be removed. Wikipedia also has a related policy against including original research in articles. Additionally, all new biographies of living people must contain at least one reliable source. Nothing I changed is a violation of Wikipedia policy. I made grammatical changes. I corrected the inaccurate or incomplete names of organizations. I removed some personal items that have been used in identity theft and credit card fraud. None of what was changed is a violation of wikipedia policy. I demand that you put back the changes that I made and you deleted. I also request that you cease and desist from actions that harm proper and accurate information

Managing a conflict of interest

edit

Hello, it is unclear from your statements whether you are Joe Lhota the subject of the article, or, per what you said at User talk:JoeLhota your name is simply Joe Lhota as well. This would either be a case of conflict of interest or of WP:IMPERSONATE-ing a public figure, despite what you said earlier the tone of your edit summary here suggests you are not the public Joe Lhota or you are trying to present yourself as not him. I'm assuming the prior warning about the user name is what prompted the creation of this user name (a quick Google search revealed the public Joe Lhota has two labs named Lindy and Harmony, one of which were sources already in the article, the NYMag story). That leads to the main issue in that all the information and changes have to be verifiable and not self-serving. Edits like this one are not, for instance, the piping used to add "New York State" into the wikilink, when it is not properly there. Saying "Metropolitan Transportation Authority" is preferable because that's what the entity is named and what its common name is, and what the article is titled, Occam's razor and the pillars of Wikipedia suggest that's what the outbound link should be called. I welcome your contributions to the encyclopedia, but please browse through the links I left you on these two talk pages about our policies, especially with regards to Conflicts of Interest and Biographies of Living Persons. Cheers, JesseRafe (talk) 22:13, 16 January 2017 (UTC)Reply
