Danish translation request

edit

I noticed your name on the list of available translators for Danish-to-English. I was wondering, if you had the time, if you could please translate da:Codex Bobbiensis? Any work you put towards this project would be greatly appreciated! Thank you for your consideration.--Andrew c 17:26, 7 July 2006 (UTC)Reply

Your edit on Bulgarian lev

edit

Your edit on Bulgarian lev was intrusive. You deleted good portion of the introduction. If they are not true, please explain. --Chochopk 21:31, 23 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

Sorry, I think I f*cked it up somewhere. It certainly wasn't on purpose! --Lhademmor 06:23, 24 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

Take care with formatting when adding interwikis to templates

edit

Hey; when you added a da interwiki to Template:Chembox header, you additionally introduced a newline by accident, which can break pages that need to transclude it on the same line as other formatting. The resulting pages looked something like this, rather than this. I fixed the problem by removing the newline from the template, but in the future if you could put noinclude statements on the existing last line of the template rather than all the way at the bottom, the process would generally run smoother. Write me back a note if any of this is confusing. Thanks! ~ PseudoSudo 15:08, 13 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia. Wikipedia is not a mere directory of links nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include (but are not limited to) links to personal web sites, links to web sites that you are affiliated with, and links that exist to attract visitors to a web site or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam policies for further explanations of links that are considered appropriate. If you feel the link should be added to the article, then please discuss it on the article's talk page rather than re-adding it. See the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. Barbarash

edit

Hi, that image does indeed appear to have a copyright on it. The ALF did respond and confirmed that all their material is PD, so we should look for one of Barbarash on one of their websites, or ask them for one. Thanks for letting me know about it. SlimVirgin (talk) 08:13, 23 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

Something has gone wrong with Image:StevenBestLondon.JPG and the link to the Commons image doesn't work, but I don't know how to fix it. SlimVirgin (talk) 20:44, 29 March 2007 (UTC)Reply
There, that should do it. --Lhademmor 07:47, 30 March 2007 (UTC)Reply
Thanks for fixing it. I hope you don't mind but I changed the Commons tag to PD-because, because the PD-self made it look as though you had personally taken the photograph. Feel free to revert me if that's not right, because I'm not very familiar with image issues. Cheers, SlimVirgin (talk) 08:59, 30 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

Translation for Wikimedia error message

edit

Hello there. I'm currently doing some edits to the Wikimedia error message, and need the following sentence translated from English to Danish:

"If you would like to help the non-profit Wikimedia Foundation, please make a donation."

If you do the translation, could you please include the italics tags around the part corresponding to "make a donation", so it can be made a link?

Finally, looking at the following sentence, could you tell me what part (if any) corresponds to "try again" in English, so it can be made into a reload link?

"Prøv venligst igen om få minutter."

Thank you for taking the time to look at this request. Wikimedia loves you! - Mark 05:04, 4 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

Girl

edit

What are you doing? Gwen Gale (talk) 16:23, 8 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

I just didn't understand the sentence 'At birth girls are a slight numerical minority although this changes with age.' - Does that mean that girls start turning into men as they get older or something? --Lhademmor (talk) 16:30, 8 January 2009 (UTC)Reply
Thanks for answering, I've tried to clarify the text. By all means we can talk about the content on the article talk page. Gwen Gale (talk) 16:58, 8 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

Your admin status

edit

Hello. I'm a steward. A new policy regarding the removal of "advanced rights" (administrator, bureaucrat, etc.) was adopted by community consensus recently. According to this policy, the stewards are reviewing administrators' activity on wikis with no inactivity policy.

You meet the inactivity criteria (no edits and no log actions for 2 years) on dawiktionary, where you are an administrator. Since dawiktionary does not have its own administrators' rights review process, the global one applies.

If you want to keep your rights, you should inform the community of the wiki about the fact that the stewards have sent you this information about your inactivity. If the community has a discussion about it and then wants you to keep your rights, please contact the stewards at m:Stewards' noticeboard, and link to the discussion of the local community, where they express their wish to continue to maintain the rights, and demonstrate a continued requirement to maintain these rights.

We stewards will evaluate the responses. If there is no response at all after approximately one month, we will proceed to remove your administrative rights. In cases of doubt, we will evaluate the responses and will refer a decision back to the local community for their comment and review. If you have any questions, please contact us on m:Stewards' noticeboard.

ArbCom elections are now open!

edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
