Possible Conflict of Interest edit
Hello, Levieve. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). - @Biochemistry&Love: Hello Biochemistry🙴❤, thank you for your concern; however, as stated on your talk page, the things you stated above did not apply to my contributions. Frankly, it is quite ludicrous. The information I submitted was information for drugs that have little research from the medical community. The topics were not about myself or my biotech research company, KOTR, not did I mention KOTR, except in the citation, since it is based on our findings, in which most are not present in any place on the internet or in any scientific journal. Wikipedia exists to provide valuable information to the general public which is why those contributions were submitted.
However, after I proved your accusation incorrect, in which you publicly posted on my talk page, you stated that I should not post my contribution since it is based on primary research findings and not secondary sources, which I do understand since that is the rule of Wikipedia, which applies to my case.
KOTR has no benefit from incorporating its findings on Wikipedia, which is why your statement above is deemed quite ludicrous. Wikipedia is a compilation of random user-generated content and Wikipedia lacks power in the SEO world, in terms of citiation (since you also accused me of spam). The fact that you stated that I should not link KOTR to my contributions is even more ridiculous. Most of the information I submitted were of my own researcher's findings (they're PhDs, for your reference), which does not equate to spam.
You did state you are only trying to inform me of Wikipedia's policies, but I do understand; however, none of them apply to my case, except for needing a reliable peer-reviewed source that is published by a third party, not the original researchers, in which again, you stated after I proved all of your accusations incorrect.
I urge you to do your research before making such claims publicly since it can cause issues for you down the road; it makes you look bad and KOTR does not take such claims lightly. Thank you.Levieve (talk) 18:14, 21 June 2020 (UTC)
- @Levieve: Again, please do not cite your company website as a WP:MEDRS, and I advise you (as I did on my Talk page) to publically list your COI in the form that I recommended. For the record, I did not accuse you of spam; I suggested that you may have a COI with regard to the biotech company KOTR and the drugs that it studies. Again, please assume good faith on behalf of other editors. If you need help, please let me know. But I, or another editor, are likely to revert any medical edits that you make if you only cite the company website for which you are a major stakeholder. That is all. I already understand that my company should not be cited since it is a primary source of information, you stated that many times when I clearly said I understand. I also understand my contributions were removed due to the edits being based on a primary source. For that, I have no issue, my main issue is to have someone who does not know what they are talking about start making accusations that are not based on common sense. According to the Wikipedia page that you listed, there is no COI between KOTR and the articles I edited. Again, my site was only cited since most of the information presented is on no other source. KOTR was the first to discover the information. Also, if you did not accuse me of spam, then why is "avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:Spam);" in your statement above. I'm not sure if you had a different intent by stating that, but most normal people would consider that an accusation of spam. I hope that makes sense. I definitely do assume good faith from everyone. I'm not sure if you truly believe the nonsense you're writing or have something against KOTR, but you're only making yourself look worse the more you talk.
