Welcome! edit

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions; however, please remember the essential rule of respecting copyrights. Edits to Wikipedia, such as your edit to the page Dersim rebellion, may not contain material from copyrighted sources unless that text is available under a suitable free license. It is almost never okay to copy extensive text out of a book or website and paste it into a Wikipedia article with little or no alteration, though you can clearly and briefly quote copyrighted text in the right circumstances. Content that does not comply with this legal rule must be removed. For more information on this, see:

Hello Diannaa:
thank you for your message. I am fairly new here, so it helps.
I wanted to ask, however, if it would not have been more proportionate that the Wiki Team or i rephrase the passages, instead of simply deleting. The source was cited anyway. Simply rephrasing the thoughts with own words and marking as a quote should have been within the acceptable scientific standards ?
Kind regards LevanteCra (talk) 21:19, 7 May 2024 (UTC)Reply
That would be ideal, but the copyright cleanup team is so small that re-writing the content for you is not practical. I'm not going to go around placing quotation marks on copyright violations either. — Diannaa (talk) 22:18, 7 May 2024 (UTC)Reply
I understand, makes sense of course. LevanteCra (talk) 22:23, 7 May 2024 (UTC)Reply
