June 2014 edit

Hello, I'm Dicklyon. I wanted to let you know that I removed one or more external links you added to the page Compressed sensing, because they seemed to be inappropriate for an encyclopedia. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page, or take a look at our guidelines about links. Thank you.   Please stop adding inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to Compressed sensing. It is considered spamming and Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising or promotion. Because Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, additions of links to Wikipedia will not alter search engine rankings. If you continue spamming, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Please go to the article talk page to discuss whether something should be added about this company (as opposed to the claims of "first" and "all", etc that you've been putting in). Just repeating an unacceptable edit multiple times is not going to result in net progress.

The page you're looking for, to make your case for why this section might be appropriate, is Talk:Compressed_sensing. See WP:ADV and WP:PROMO. If you add the commercial-sounding section again to the article without discussing it first, I will have to ask to have you blocked for edit warring and spamming. July 2014 edit

Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to add soapboxing, promotional or advertising material to Wikipedia, as you did at Big data, you may be blocked from editing. ... discospinster talk 02:30, 13 July 2014 (UTC)Reply

You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you insert a spam link. Persistent spammers may have their websites blacklisted, preventing anyone from linking to them from all Wikimedia sites as well as potentially being penalized by search engines. You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for advertising or promotion. From your contributions, this seems to be your only purpose. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding the following text below this notice: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}. However, you should read the guide to appealing blocks first.  ... discospinster talk 12:28, 13 July 2014 (UTC)Reply
