Your submission at Articles for creation edit

I noticed your submission in Articles for creation, Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Camilla Lackberg: Ice Princess.. Thanks! It will be reviewed by a volunteer soon.

Before it can be added to Wikipedia, your submission should have references. All articles on Wikipedia should have inline, numbered references after facts, showing the 'reliable source' (a newspaper, book, etc.) where the information can be checked, so that all information is verifiable.

Here's a video tutorial - hit play, then right-click for "full screen".

Here's an example of how to add references:

Chzz is 98 years old.<ref> "The book of Chzz", Aardvark Books, 2009. </ref>

He likes tea.<ref> Smith, John. "[http://foonews.com/Article42 Interview with Chzz]", Foo News, 1 April 2010. Retrieved 2011-05-22. </ref>

== References ==

{{reflist}}

That makes the references automatically display as small numbers[1] which will link to the details in the section titled == References == at the end. You can see that example in action here.

Please add references to your submission, which will be reviewed as soon as possible. See also, Wikipedia:Referencing for beginners. If you need any help, just put {{helpme}} at the end of this page, followed by a question or get into our live help chat chanel at #wikipedia-en-help connect.

Speedy deletion nomination of Template:The Preacher edit

A tag has been placed on Template:The Preacher requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section T2 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an unambiguous misrepresentation of established policy.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. jsfouche ☽☾Talk 19:06, 25 November 2011 (UTC)Reply

Help edit

Hello my friend. I think all of these books are notable. It seems like you learn fast, and know what you are doing.

I think maybe you need some sandboxes in which to work. Then you can relax and work on the articles without worrying. :) Here are some which you can pasted onto your user page. Nobody will edit them.

Just to let you know, book covers must be uploaded to Wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Upload) and not to Wikicommons. Please upload the cover after you have created the article and it is part of the encyclopedia. Copyrighted images like book covers must be in use at all times. Here is the info you need to add when uploading it: User:Anna Frodesiak/Violet sandbox Just paste that into the big box when uploading.

Blogspot or other blogs are not good sources. It's best to find others.

If you have any questions, I am here to help. Best wishes, Anna Frodesiak (talk) 23:22, 25 November 2011 (UTC)Reply

Book covers edit

I see you are still uploading the book covers to Wikicommons, the gibberish descriptions and no source shown. Please understand that all of these will be deleted soon. All must be reuploaded to Wikipedia. (See above for how.) Anna Frodesiak (talk) 04:51, 27 November 2011 (UTC)Reply

Welcome edit

Welcome!

Hello, Lenin42001, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one of your contributions does not conform to Wikipedia's Neutral Point of View policy (NPOV). Wikipedia articles should refer only to facts and interpretations that have been stated in print or on reputable websites or other forms of media.

There's a page about the NPOV policy that has tips on how to effectively write about disparate points of view without compromising the NPOV status of the article as a whole. If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the New contributors' help page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, you can just type {{helpme}} on your user page, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Here are a few other good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you have any questions, check out Wikipedia:Where to ask a question or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome!  Tanzeel Ahad (talk) 11:56, 27 November 2011 (UTC)Reply

Oh well, I guess you couldn't come. No problem. Anyway, of course I'm not offended. I was just hoping you weren't.

Per your comments on my talk page, please read the Help section above which I wrote. It will explain how to upload book covers. Frankly, the image in the infobox should be the book cover, and not some other picture. Also, it is important that you not simply download images from websites and upload them. They are copyrighted.

If you have questions, please ask here, or, for instant help, use the online help link. Best wishes, and keep up the good work. Anna Frodesiak (talk) 14:44, 27 November 2011 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Flavours from Fjällbacka edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Flavours from Fjällbacka requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a clear copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. reddogsix (talk) 03:13, 28 November 2011 (UTC)Reply

Points and praise edit

First, I would like to say that you are doing a great job. Wikipedia is not easy to begin with, and you are managing well. I encouraged you to get online help because of the amount of issues to discuss. Seeing that you can't connect, I will point out a few things:

  • Continue to look for good sources that aren't blogs, forums, etc.
  • Always write in your own words, and never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, never, copy paste.
  • Upload book covers to Wikipedia and not Wikicommons.
  • Upload using this thingy. Don't just type in gibberish. :)
  • Ask if you have questions. Feel at home. Don't be worried. Relax. You are a writer. You are in your element. Most people who contribute are far less skilled than you. Be bold!
  • Bug other users for information and help. We are here to assist.
  • Tell Camilla I say hi.
  • As you are connected to the organization, there is a conflict of interest. So, write neutrally, non-promotionally, just the facts.
  • Ummmmmm, ok, I think that's it. If I think of more, I will bombard you again. :) :) Happy editing, my friend.
  • Oh, and you don't need to show appreciation or send in donations. We are happy to assist. Really. Your efforts in expanding this project is very much appreciated by all. You are doing your bit by editing. That does not go unnoticed.
  • And you can always call on me for help. Anna Frodesiak (talk) 04:02, 28 November 2011 (UTC)Reply

License tagging for File:Fest mat omslag3wiki.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading File:Fest mat omslag3wiki.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information.

To add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia. For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Replaceable fair use File:Camilla-NY.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading File:Camilla-NY.jpg. I noticed the description page specifies that the media is being used under a claim of fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first non-free content criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed media could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information or which could be adequately covered with text alone. If you believe this media is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the media description page and edit it to add {{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per our non-free content policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Melesse (talk) 07:32, 30 November 2011 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of The Angel Maker (novel) edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on The Angel Maker (novel), requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Your recent edits edit

Hello again N Lawton,

Just to clarify, photos of Camilla can be uploaded to http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Special:UploadWizard if you own them. That upload wizard is very easy to use.

For book covers, etc, please continue to upload them to Wikipedia, as you have been doing. However, please ensure that you fill in all of the information. I know you know how to do this, because you have done it before. Below are some to which I have added the missing article name. Please see what else is missing. Some have warning templates saying that they may be deleted. You should heed these, as you have seen that the warnings do end up in deletions.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Lackberggrey.jpg http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Angelcl-skiss1.jpg http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:AngelmKERBANNERlackberg.jpg http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Anglamakerskan_special_edition-14887820-frnt.jpg

Finally, if you are having trouble formatting an article, please don't leave it in a messy state, as you did with The Angel Maker's Wife. Remember that these articles are "live", and part of the encyclopedia. So leaving them in a bad state is not good for the project, or Camilla. It's always best to remove the troublesome content (which is never lost forever), and return to fix it later, or ask me.

I'm sorry to bug you about this, and I know learning Wikipedia can be annoying.

If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia. File copyright problem with File:V3IMG_9932-600x400.jpg edit

Thank you for uploading File:V3IMG_9932-600x400.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright and licensing status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can verify that it has an acceptable license status and a verifiable source. Please add this information by editing the image description page. You may refer to the image use policy to learn what files you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. The page on copyright tags may help you to find the correct tag to use for your file. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

Please also check any other files you may have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Melesse (talk) 21:59, 4 December 2011 (UTC)Reply

File copyright problem with File:V1IMG_9808.jpg edit

Thank you for uploading File:V1IMG_9808.jpg.

Melesse (talk) 22:00, 4 December 2011 (UTC)Reply

Your recent edits edit

Hello again my friend. I would like to make a strong suggestion: The tone of all the articles you've been working on is quite inappropriate. I've been sitting by watching, hoping others would do something, because I didn't want to revert your work.

The articles now have a promotional style, and are full of translated quotes, praising Camilla and her books. Others may come along and simply remove huge paragraphs of this, undoing all of your work. There is a solution. Please remove such content yourself. Stick to the facts. Keep it simple. Wikipedia is not here for Camilla to promote. You already have a serious conflict of interest because you work for her. I urge you to remedy this before most of your hard work is removed. Best wishes, Anna Frodesiak (talk) 22:45, 7 December 2011 (UTC)Reply

This edit in particular stands out. Even a book review magazine wouldn't contain that. That is the sort of thing one would see on a website which sells cheap goods at bargain basement prices. Anna Frodesiak (talk) 22:53, 7 December 2011 (UTC)Reply

Flavours from Fjällbacka edit

I'm posting this message on your talk page because I noticed that you've recently created the new article Flavours from Fjällbacka--The content seems pretty substantial. However, I noticed there are some holes that may need filling: the article is confusing. I do not understand what you are trying to say.It would be great if you could also improve the related article Hellberg. Amy Z (talk) 23:01, 7 December 2011 (UTC)Reply

The Mermaid (novel) edit

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of The Mermaid (novel), and it appears to include material copied directly from http://opinionsmoviesandbooks.wordpress.com/.

It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. The article will be reviewed to determine if there are any copyright issues.

If substantial content is duplicated and it is not public domain or available under a compatible license, it will be deleted. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material. You may use such publications as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details. (If you own the copyright to the previously published content and wish to donate it, see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for the procedure.) CorenSearchBot (talk) 01:21, 15 December 2011 (UTC)Reply

Hi. I appreciate that you have been working to change the language describing the book so that it is not a direct copy, but I'm afraid that you are still using language and structure from your sources. For instance, one of the sources you use says this:

Patrik Hederstrom the police officer is stressed about the letters and about the murder on Magnus, in the mean time his wife Erica is pregnant with twins and trying to help out her friend Christian Thydell.

Your text says this:

Patrik Hederstrom the police officer is stressed out about the letters and-more importantly- about the murder on Magnus; analogous to this Erica is pregnant with twins and trying to help out her acquaintance Christian Thydell

The whole section seems to have been constructed by taking text from sources and minimally altering or expanding it. The best approach for writing a plot description is actually for you to describe the book. Wikipedia:How to write a plot summary offers some advice on this. While this may seem out of keeping with most of Wikipedia - as we do require reliable sources for verifiability and forbid original research - in fact the work of fiction is itself your source. As long as you do not introduce any analysis of the work but just accurately and briefly describe it, you should encounter no problems.
Because the section is a problem under our approach to copyright, as a close paraphrase of the sources (see Wikipedia:Copy-paste), I have removed it. It would be great if you could replace it with a brief description of the book based on your own reading. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 02:00, 25 December 2011 (UTC)Reply

Orphaned non-free media (File:Iceprincesscover1.jpg) edit

Thanks for uploading File:Iceprincesscover1.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Speedy deletion nomination of Christian Hellberg. edit

A tag has been placed on Christian Hellberg., requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia for multiple reasons. Please see the page to see the reasons. If the page has since been deleted, you can ask me the reasons by leaving a message on my user talk page.

Replaceable fair use File:Chellberg653569607.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading File:Chellberg653569607.jpg.

Thank you. Guerillero | My Talk 06:33, 21 December 2011 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Super Charlie edit

The article Super Charlie has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

WP:NN children's book

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Non-free rationale for File:Iceprincesscover3thumbnail (1).jpg edit

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Iceprincesscover3thumbnail (1).jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Proposed deletion of Christian Hellberg edit

The article Christian Hellberg has been proposed for deletion because, under Wikipedia policy, all newly created biographies of living persons must have at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. Your draft article, Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Where or When edit

Hello Lenin42001. It has been over six months since you last edited your WP:AFC draft article submission, entitled "Where or When".

The page will shortly be deleted. If you plan on editing the page to address the issues raised when it was declined and resubmit it, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}} or {{db-g13}} code. Please note that Articles for Creation is not for indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you want to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by one of two methods (don't do both): 1) follow the instructions at WP:REFUND/G13, or 2) copy this code: {{subst:Refund/G13|Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Where or When}}, paste it in the edit box at this link, and click "Save page". An administrator will in most cases undelete the submission.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. HasteurBot (talk) 06:00, 6 February 2015 (UTC)Reply

ArbCom elections are now open! edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
