Derogatory Category edit

Lemonsquares, please refrain from adding the derogatory category "Statutory rapists" to politicians who had sex with 16 or 17 year old people (i.e Gerry Studds, Buz Lukens, and Dan Crane). In none of these cases was the subject charged with, let alone convicted of, statutory rape. In all three cases, the people it is alleged the subject had sex with were OVER the age of consent. With Lukens and Crane, this violates WP:BLP, wikipedia's policy about biographies of living people. Studds is dead, but his reputation deserves no less care because of it. Thanks. David in DC (talk) 03:28, 22 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

In a very nice bit of jiu-jitsu, I've wound up hurting Gerry Studds's memory and helping Dan Crane and Buz Lukens' reputations. For now. Well-played. David in DC (talk) 20:22, 22 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

  • Good to know. The more people we have fighting the nut jobs like Reid and Pelosi, the better. Chris (talk) 14:48, 6 August 2008 (UTC)Reply
