Fair use rationale for Image:Howies logo 1.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Howies logo 1.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. Howies still reads like an advert edit

Hi, this still reads like an advertisement. Could you review the Manual of style and add information that shows how this meets WP:CORP.

I have listed it at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Howies rather than tagging it for speedy deletion as a repost of deleted material. This should give you time to substantially improve the article. (AfD discussions usually last 5 days, and you can discuss the article's merits there.)

Hope this helps. Cheers, :) Dlohcierekim 14:05, 23 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

{{helpme}}

Hi Dlohcierekim

I recreated the Howies Wiki page using the copy on WayBackMachine as a template that had been on Wiki for sometime which didn't have any obvious advertising. This is more of how it used to look before I think someone at howies edited their wiki entry and added lots of material that made it a blatant advert (this was on about 5th July: see howies blog entry ). Anyway, does the entry look better now? Thanks --LeisureHat 16:10, 23 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

It is better, although it still need a bit of cleanup and some third-party sources for the information. I've removed the advert tag for now, and motioned for "keep" in the AfD, but it still needs a bit of work. Hersfold (t/a/c) 17:12, 23 August 2007 (UTC)Reply
