Speedy deletion of Cimicodes sanguiflua edit

If this was the first article that you created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

The page Cimicodes sanguiflua has been speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This was done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appeared to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appeared to be a direct copy from https://archive.org/details/descriptionsofne00hewi/page/232/mode/2up?q=Cimicodes+sanguiflua&view=theater. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition has been be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image ā€” which means allowing other people to use it for any reason ā€” then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

Please do not recreate the material without addressing these concerns, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If you think this page should not have been deleted for this reason, you may contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you may open a discussion at Wikipedia:Deletion review. Mimallonidae edit

A couple of notes for you about {{Mimallonidae-stub}}:

  1. Firstly, please note that templates are not allowed to be filed in redlinked categories, such as Category:Mimallonidae stubs ā€” they are only allowed to use categories that exist. But that category can't be created at this time, either, as stub categories are not allowed to exist until they already have at least 60 articles to go in them, and there aren't 60 possible articles for a Mimallonidae stubs category yet.
  2. Secondly, even the template itself shouldn't be sitting unused, either: if you want to create a stub template, then you have to take on the responsibility of going around adding that template to the articles that need it, and it can be deleted as unused if you fail to do that.

So for both of those reasons, you need to leave its category as "moth stubs", not "mimallonidae stubs", until such time as the template is already on at least 60 articles ā€” and even if and when it does get to 60, the dedicated mimallonidae stubs category will still have to be proposed at Wikipedia:WikiProject Stub sorting and cannot just be created willy-nilly by just anybody without approval.
