Please do not remove content or templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to Life Is Good (Nas album), without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your content removal does not appear constructive and has been reverted. Please make use of the sandbox if you'd like to experiment with test edits. Thank you. Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited The Shocker (album), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Skull Duggery. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Please do not introduce incorrect information into articles, as you did to The Lost Tapes. Your edits could be interpreted as vandalism and have been reverted. If you believe the information you added was correct, please cite references or sources or discuss the changes on the article's talk page before making them again. Sourcing information

edit

Hi! Recently someone mentioned you at ANI and expressed concern over you inserting dates and other information into articles without backing up these additions with a reliable source. (WP:RS) Things like that need to be backed up with a RS, especially if you're trying to do something like add a birthdate to an article. Without something to back up the date of birth, this can easily become a WP:BLP issue. Wikipedia has had issues in the past from people contesting the birthdates on their articles, stating that it was incorrect. Sometimes they just don't want it on the article period. That's why it's so important to source things - sometimes the content is incorrect and it can help the site avoid potential issues further on down the line.

I do have to warn you though, if you continue to add information to articles without sourcing you may run the risk of receiving a temporary block from editing. I think that you mean well and I don't see where you're inserting anything with the intent to deliberately mislead anyone, but you do need to make sure that you source everything or at least can provide a RS if someone contests the addition. • Also, do not label things as "fixed typo" if you are completely changing information in the article. Changing the date is not considered to be a typo, that's a major alteration and you need to mark the edit correctly in the edit summary field. However I need to again stress that any date changes must be accompanied by a reliable source that explicitly backs up the need to change this. I'll be very honest: there were people reporting you as a vandal and calling for you to be blocked. If you continue on with the same type of editing as you did before, it's very likely that you will be seen as a vandal and get blocked. Depending on what you do, you could even be permanently blocked from editing if you make many similar changes at the same point in time. Again, I think that you likely meant well but you need to be more careful about how you edit. Tokyogirl79 (。◕‿◕。) 04:29, 7 November 2015 (UTC)Reply

Sockpuppet investigation

edit

Hi. An editor has opened an investigation into sockpuppetry by you. Sockpuppetry is the use of more than one Wikipedia account in a manner that contravenes community policy. The investigation is being held at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Legendswillneverdie, where the editor who opened the investigation has presented their evidence. Please make sure you make yourself familiar with the guide to responding to investigations, and then feel free to offer your own evidence or to submit comments that you wish to be considered by the Wikipedia administrator who decides the result of the investigation. If you have been using multiple accounts (in a manner contrary to Wikipedia policy), please go to the investigation page and verify that now. Leniency is usually shown to those who promise not to do so again, or who did so unwittingly, but the abuse of multiple accounts is taken very seriously by the Wikipedia community. 153.173.65.195 (talk) 15:35, 8 November 2015 (UTC)Reply

ArbCom elections are now open!

edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. You have been blocked from editing for a period of 1 week for sock puppetry. Note that multiple accounts are allowed, but using them for illegitimate reasons is not, and that any contributions made while evading blocks or bans may be reverted or deleted. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may appeal this block by first reading the guide to appealing blocks, then adding the following text to the bottom of your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  Vanjagenije (talk) 18:21, 24 November 2015 (UTC)Reply
