December 2007 edit

Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did to Central Intelligence Agency. Your edits appear to constitute vandalism and have been reverted. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. Acroterion (talk) 22:06, 6 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

Re:Harper's Index - an interesting factoid, if true. As a long-time fan of Harper's Index (and magazine), I'd suggest that it falls short of being a reliable source. Do you have a better source? By the way, we welcome constructive edits - stating that the CIA invented AIDS and crack doesn't enhance your credibility. Acroterion (talk) 22:15, 6 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion of Jeffrey Tischauser edit

A tag has been placed on Jeffrey Tischauser requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Its tough being a new editor on wikipedia edit

Hello, can you confirm this:

According to Harper's Index, published in Harper's Magazine in December 2007, the CIA has made the most edits to Wikipedia.[1]

It sounds dubious. Cut and paste the Harper's Index and e-mail it to me, by pressing "E-mail this user". I can then post it on the CIA page, without it being deleted. T (talk) 10:28, 11 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

We just confirmed that the statement you made on the CIA page was a complete fabrication. I am not sure, but this could be considered vandalism if it was done intentionally. 12:05, 12 December 2007 (UTC) —Preceding unsigned comment added by Travb (talkcontribs)
